Governor finds new family and becomes Brian.
Brian and family fall in with new group and settle into being a part of it.
Martinez offers Brian power and Brian flips out because he doesn't want to go down that road again.
Brian sees the group falling apart so tries to escape with his new family but it doesn't work out. (I thought this part was crap. I didn't really get why they couldn't get away.)
Brian decides that the only way to keep them safe is to take over power.
Brian sees new daughter almost become zombie food and decides they need the prison.
I don't see his return to the prison as a "revenge" thing so much as something he wants to protect his new family. He is perfectly happy to kill those already there as an added benefit though.
