I advice against this, speaking from experience.Luke wrote:On a riding lawnmower while sipping tea and saying Cheerio to passerbys!

Don't worry, I'll wear my less expensive tux.fastbilly1 wrote:I advice against this, speaking from experience.Luke wrote:On a riding lawnmower while sipping tea and saying Cheerio to passerbys!
Not to brag, but I netted a goal and an assist last night, and I was on defense. We did play for around two hours, so there is that to figure in.

Finding this forum has made my day for sure! I have been looking and looking for the right forum to join regarding retro games and I think I found a new home. All my other collections are at Rebel Scum's forum, but now I have an outlet for my games!

This could go in two threads:
Smile: A GameStop noob.
I went to pick up a copy of Ribbit King for the Crube and when I walked in the store I got the usual GameStop greeting from a new employee. He was snacking during his shift and smelled of peanut butter and hatred.
I recognized his co-worker, who gave me a "what's up?" nod when I walked in, but the new guy asked me "what do you need?". Not "What can I do for you?" but a very short and snarky "what do you need?" as if I was stealing time away from his life.
Smiling, I told him "You've got a game on hold for Luke". And this is how things went down:
New Dude: Who's Luke?
Me: That's a complicated question.
*awkward pause*
Me: I'm Luke.
*Sales associate I know laughs, new guy rolls his eyes*
New Dude: I need you to swipe your Power-up card to make sure you are Luke.
*Weird, but I was in a hurry so I swiped my card*
New Dude: Kay. Went through. *Scans a copy of Battlefield 4* and says my total is $60-something.
Me: Nah, you guys have a copy of Ribbit King for me. Sent from Chicago...Ted called and said it would be in the left counter with a "FOR LUKE" post it note.
New Dude: We don't have it.
Me: It's probably the only Gamecube game you have.
New Dude: We don't sell Gamecube games anymore.
Me: Check your inventory.
New Dude: *wipes his hair and face like I'm asking him to apply for obamacare* Ohhh. We do have it...who plays Gamecube these days anyway?...Gahhhhwd.
He didn't ask me to preorder anything or if I needed to renew my Power card, so he wasn't pushy, but his entire attitude was shite.
I'll tell the district GS manager that the kid is a bit of a jerk, but not to fire him, which is inevitable anyway.

No, no, tell the district GS manager that he should put the fear of God into that particular employee and tell him to call you "Mr. Luke" anytime you go in there.Luke wrote:Welcome.manowarjoe wrote:Finding this forum has made my day for sure! I'd go with "Your Majesty"Ack wrote: No, no, tell the district GS manager that he should put the fear of God into that particular employee and tell him to call you "Mr. Luke" anytime you go in there.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
The DM usually tells his employees to "always charge Luke double".
Instead of Majesty, I opt for Your Highness.
