Contrast getting mediocre reviews too? Darn. Guess I'll see. Pre-ordered it on Steam recently.

Kotaku seemed to like it, giving it a Yes: http://kotaku.com/contrast-the-kotaku-review-1462494513

Of course they also gave Knack a Yes. And Killzone a No.

In any case, there seems to be an abundance of good games without any seemingly great ones, which is enough to make me happy with the launch. I don't need the PS4 or Xbox One lineup to contain a GOTY or a "best game ever" candidate in order to feel like it is worth getting.

I am seriously debating selling my system this weekend... Christmas money. And then buying one down the line for the first 'must have'.

I am more excited about my Zelda 3DS XL bundle at this point.

I just really liked the style, time period, and music in Contrast. That's why I pre-ordered it despite it being free with PS+. Since I cancelled my PS4 pre-order I wouldn't have been able to try it for quite a while.

We'll see how my funds are at the end of this year/early next year. I'd love to wait for some announcements like BlazBlue or Project DIVA for PS4, but there's also a fair chance that I'll pick up one before then whenever my PC love affair ends. Nevertheless, PC has quickly become my preferred choice for multi platform games.

That reminds me: I need to preorder Zelda! Too many games in 2-3 weeks! Tearaway and Ys are also out very soon...

I feel like the lineups are decent for console-centric gamers. I cancelled my PS4 preorder more due to seeing very little I wouldn't just rather get on PC, not because the game lineup is all that terrible.
