In all seriousness, I did share thoughts about Ico once before that were a bit more, um, involved.

I must have been either really wound up or possibly inebriated when I posted that, because my language is far more atrocious than normal

I'm curious... do you think Ico would have been a better game if it had spot on controls and a better AI?

It would have helped quite a bit, yes.

I think the game would have been forgettable had I not spent hours screaming at Yorda.

Maybe I am weird, but her being so frustrating really added a lot to the game for me.

The game IS worth playing.

There's a difference between built in frustration and poor gameplay/control/physics. Most shmups have built in frustration, but you aren't left to the whims of iffy responsiveness & wonky AI

Yep, totally agree.

For me, though, the poor controls and AI (I do agree that the game has both of these) just added to the game. Some of my favorite moments in the game came from battling the strange shit that Yorda would (or wouldn't) do, or trying to get my character to do what I want.

In any other game, this would have drove me insane, but for some reason it didn't bother me in Ico.... or, I enjoyed it bothering me. Like I said, I may be crazy
