Another way you can ensure it's real honey is to buy the little tub where they don't remove the honeycomb.

Also...we Americans are perfectly capable of diluting our own honey, thank you very much, and we make so much corn here that there is no way the we would ever import anything with corn syrup added to it. (In countries without sugar quotas, it would be much cheaper to dilute honey with real sugar!)
I avoid foreign honeys based on the presence of antibiotics and heavy metals in honeys imported from China and India.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I don't really think that will make that much of a difference honestly. It will change very little to have this bit of regulation.
Anyways, it doesn't really matter. People will do what they want to do. The effects of alcohol and tobacco are mostly negative, but most people, myself included, look at the small amount of benefits and chose it over the negative. Its chosen stupidity at its finest, and as an American I'm proud to have the choice to fuck myself up and ruin my life as I damn well please.

The thing is though I don't understand where prfsnl_gmr is getting this estimated 7000 lives saved a year. The article clearly says that further reduction of the average 1g of trans fat a person ingests would prevent 7000 cases of coronary heart disease. Maybe it's fatal I dunno. If people actually exercised I'm pretty sure trans fats wouldn't be an issue. I'm sure yea trans fat could kill you but if you have a healthy heart that gets worked your not going to have a problem.
Or don't ban the fats, get fat, a scooter and we are one step closer as a nation to being able to play Mario Kart in real life.

That is the number most news sources are reporting. Here is one example:flex wood wrote:The thing is though I don't understand where prfsnl_gmr is getting this estimated 7000 lives saved a year.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Artificial trans fat is not "food". It's toxic. It's not something that you can "counteract" with exercise. Hence the reason it needs to be removed from food.flex wood wrote:If people actually exercised I'm pretty sure trans fats wouldn't be an issue. btw if you want to "see" trans fat with your own eyes hop over to Sam's Club and check out these bad boys:

Movie theaters should go back to popping corn in coconut oil. That stuff is actually good for you in moderation.

I think we all know eating a bunch of fat is bad for you. That wasn't really the problem I had with it. I was more disturbed by the fact that government is taking it into their hands to force this decision upon people. It's supposed to be a free country and all that.
