Maybe we could put a longer game like Ultima in August? I feel like Beat em ups are a waste in the summer, because Beat Em Ups are short time investments, where in August more posters probably have more free time.

Me in particular, I'm probably going to have finals/mid terms around November along w/ work next year, and a game like Ultima 4 will get in the way of that where a Beat em Up wouldn't. What do you guys think of the suggestion? I know Ultima doesn't have the colorful summer vibe, but it seems more practical.
Shorter games are usually slated for the summer and December. Since most of our users are busiest during those times (sorry Aussie users).

Not to mention a lot of forum members will be joining in the yearly Summer Games Challenge in June-August.

this might sound crazy, but... I try to go outside more in the Summer.

RE: Phantasy Star Portable - Portable, Universe & 0 are all different games than Online. However, they are similar gameplay-wise. If it's all you have access to then certainly check it out.

Personally, while I'll focus on Online proper (PC) that month, I may also leave 0 in my 3DS in case I want to spend some time on a related game outside of the game room.

the lack of games with 7800 or 32x ports (other than Space Harrier) is disheartening. It's like a dagger in the back.

I'll definitely participate in Jan, Apr, May, Jul, Aug, Sep, Nov, and Dec.

On the fence about Feb, Mar, Jun, and Oct.

I'll be picking up Shock Troopers on Neo Geo X (lol), F-Zero on SNES, and Mystara on PS3.

Well, they could always add the game to their list. Aside from that, I think one person finished their list this summer. :P

I guess I'll just play Ultima by myself then :(.

In New England fall is like pre-winter.

Oh and I'll be playing Ultima IV on the NES. Who's with me?

yeah I love Autumn. And actually do spend quite a bit of time outside then, but yeah once it drops closer to Winter temps I am inside. I hate the cold.

Sorry Bone, Ultima IV is free on GOG. Tough price-point to argue with.

My plans:

Jan - Phantasy Star Online - Gamecube? Maybe? Possibly PC too I guess
Feb - Metal Gear - PS2 (MGS3: Subsistence)
Mar - M.U.L.E. - ....I guess I can try PC. Not excited about this at all
Apr - Shock Troopers - I own this on Wii Virtual Console. I might pick up the sequel too.
May - The Lost Vikings - Plan to pick it up for SNES
Jun - Psychonauts - Not sure if I should go with Xbox or PS2.
Jul - Ikaruga - Will buy for Gamecube
Aug - Dungeons and Dragons ToD and SoM - Wii U eShop
Sep - F-Zero Series - I own all of the western released games. Maybe I'll try to import Climax for GBA.
Oct - I Have No Mouth & Typing of the Dead - Will acquire on GOG and Dreamcast
Nov - Ultima IV - GOG
Dec - Space Harrier - BLAAAARRRRGGGGHH (If I play, it'll be the arcade version on Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection, but I don't think much of this game.)
