well when he beat it a couple pages ago he mentions that all 6 games have 30 levels. So I'm guessing that he beat all 180 levels?

Simple! Each of the 6 mini games(and the 2 variants) are 30 levels long, with a steadily increasing difficulty. The "difficulty" option at the start actually corresponds to what level set you will play: Low is 1-30, Med 10-30, and High 20-30. Low offers the best opportunity to get a high score, but you have to play longer through all stages.

So to count it beaten, I went through the 30 levels of each mini game. It's not too bad in Laser Blazer, but some of the Blastris games are agonizingly slow(admittedly the alternate game type for Blastris B was also the fastest game).

I guess, which would be amazing. Besides Mole Patrol, the games (especially the non-blastris ones) get ridiculously difficult after the first ten stages. Especially the rocket level. Holy crap it's Missile Command on stage 50 difficult.

Wow. 180 levels.

I'll have to search youtube for the game endings. I didn't think Blastris would even have an ending.

Actually the missile one is easy once you figure out the distance required to lead each target. Then as soon as a missile appears, fire accordingly. And the hardest in the dog fighting levels are the ones where missiles fire at you continuously, but once you adjust for speed, you're golden.

Admittedly I also play a lot of FPS, so I'm used to target acquisition and leading.

And it's not much of an ending. Laser Blazer just shows text and gives you a "rank" which has no effect on anything.

I'm much better at the dog fighting game. My timing is fine with the missile game, but it gets to a point where the gun (or my gun at least) can't fire rapidly enough to keep up with all the missiles. It's too overwhelming, and if you aren't johnny on the spot it's a quick game over.

I'll have to revisit the game sometime soon, but hell if I could stand 30 levels of the horizontal blastris game. Those levels seem to last forever.

Yeah, that one was the most grueling by far. I would play a few levels and then go clean for a few minutes to break up the monotony. It's just so slow...

You really should pick up Battle Clash and Metal Combat. Both are tons of fun, and probably dirt cheap.

Cool, I'll have to pick those up some time. Are they basically one-on-one mech fights?

I'm also interested in getting Bazooka Blitzkrieg and X-Zone sometime soon. Do you have any experience with those?
