Those GBAs are 2 first revision SPs (flame & platnium) and one Glacier transparent original GBA.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
So my birthday was a few weeks ago and my mother sent me a nice Amazon gift card. I was deciding what I wanted and went with one of the Professor Layton games (I've always wanted to try it especially since they are going to localize Professor Layton Vs. Ace Attorney). So technically that's a free game but that's not why I am here. While I was searching for a game to spend my gift card on, I was talking with one of my friends and we started talking old games. She mentioned that she still had her N64 and was selling some games and getting others. She told me that she had something she was going to sell but she would give it to me for my birthday. Time past and I figured she forgot...until I got this today.

It's nothing major, but it's a good thing to add to my collection.

I was testing it and noticed she had a saved file up to the fire temple. I decided to warp over and see if it was an older version. I got slightly giddy when I heard the chant going in the fire temple. It's not version 1.0 (obviously) but it's not a common variety from what I have quickly reads1mplehumar wrote:^ You have a great friend. That's a keeper.

Yeah, I have my original launch (gold) cart 1.0 version. That chilling track will forever be etched in the recesses of my brain. The later version, while not necessarily bad, doesn't have that eerie feel.Aar1012 wrote:I was testing it and noticed she had a saved file up to the fire temple. Is the gold cartridge worth more? I think I have the gold, but I though tall ocarinas were that color.s1mplehumar wrote:Yeah, I have my original launch (gold) cart 1.0 version. No, the Player's Choice Ocarina of Time carts are grey color. The gold cart is worth about $10 more generally because people associate gold carts with Zelda games and want a gold cart in their collection.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
The gold version of OOT was available only to those who pre-ordered the game. All of the regular runs done afterward were grey, not just the "player's choice" versions. Luckily, plenty of people apparently pre-ordered it, because the gold version isn't really that hard to find.
And aside from people just liking gold Zelda stuff, the gold cart is one easy way to guarantee that you're getting the original version with the red Ganon blood and fire temple chanting intact.
All of the Majora's Mask carts are gold though.
