Not a fan of platformers. So also not a fan of sonic. I think I prefer the metroidvaniametroidvania instead. I can also enjoy Mega Mans and side scrolling run n guns like Contra. But mario? Mario is just one of those franchises that I find fun with friends for a few hours, but on my own I can't take more than 15 minutes of it.

I can see that except for the single-player 3D marios. Those games tend to have enough content, variety and freedom to make it enjoyable for me. With games like the New Super Mario Bros. I really only find the fun when playing with others.ZenErik wrote:Mario is just one of those franchises that I find fun with friends for a few hours, but on my own I can't take more than 15 minutes of it.

Alright, cool. I don't have an issue with the gamepad but I'd hate to put needless wear and tear on it 'cause they're not selling the controller separately yet, afaik.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:
It is entirely dependent on the game. There are only a few games that actually require the gamepad as I'm aware; ZombiU is the only one that comes to mind.
Frankly, I find the gamepad super comfy, I don't mind using it. Hooray for monster American hands.

Yeah, I always cringe when people come over to play games like Nintendoland and want to play Takamaru's Ninja Castle or Balloon Trip Breeze, both which really put some wear on the pad. I have always been a bit anal about keeping touch screens clean and tidy.Opa Opa wrote:Alright, cool.
