that's Ms. Fastbilly.

Anyway, finally shot down the fucking Overseer. I realized that though I had the proper extras for the ship, I didn't have a better weapon (EMS) equipped.

Got in the Overseer, killed the tall creepy alien and on to the research...

so annoyed. I'm on an alien ship last night and I encountered what is apparently a common late-game "door bug." Basically, there's an open doorway that I cannot walk through. Two of my troops have grappling hooks so were able to take an alternate route, but 4 of them were just stuck in one room. Really annoying. After some Googling, apparently this will happen if an alien reveals himself but then disappears out of view sometimes. I'll try again tonight, but it was a rare moment where Enemy Unknown actually made me rage-quit. Although I'm not playing Ironman Classic, I've only kept one save file. And I always save when a mission starts.

I'm hoping that it's not completely game-breaking and then trying again will be alright. I'll keep you posted tonight either with a victorious post or a WTB for a new PC since I threw mine out the f'ing window.

I never ran into this bug. The most frustrating thing I ran into was the camera bugs in some of the larger UFOs that make it very difficult to safely traverse certain areas (you end up running out way too far because you can't select the square you want).

Surprising they haven't patched that out yet. :S

Man, I've got terrible luck. So I loaded up that save, and guess what? Crashes. Every time I'd try to run it, it would crash immediately and tell me I was out of video RAM. WTF? So I figured I'd lower the graphic settings even though the game has run flawlessly for 60-something hours... nope, still crashes. So back to Google. Turns out it is a bug with this particular mission. If you try to load a save on THIS fucking mission, it will crash unless you set the resolution really low. 2K has known about it via their forums for quite some time. So annoyed.

Anyway, it took me over an hour to beat the mission and on a small-ish window. But... I'm gonna have to do it over again. Because I lost 5 of my 6 troops right at the end of the damn mission. And honestly, I can't really see myself going on without Popo and Fast - my two best snipers - unless I really really have to.

Man that sucks, you've been having some bad bugs this time out. Probably karma for letting me die so early. :P

yeah man it sucks. Once I get past this mission, I can up the resolution again (tested) but I gotta beat it without losing all my best dudes.

You're probably right. Lt. Rainye Stark wouldn't have let this happen. I should have guarded him more closely.
