Keep getting pulled into Game Dev Tycoon because it is such an effortless game to play that can be picked up at anytime no matter what mood you are in.

Picked up Kirby Squeak Squad for the DS and damn that game is fun. Reminds me of Crystal Shards for the N64...I think the power ups do that and the sort of cute mini game at the end of each lvl.

For the PC i'm trying to find a good scary game to get sucked into. Well actually I'm really trying to get Dead Space so I can play/finish it in time to start Dead Space 2 a gift from my BF. But I don't have money right now and every steamgift thing I enter I end up losing lol...

I have recently started the PS2 version of this game. So far, it's a pretty beautiful game, thanks to the integration of Japanese art with the game's innovative and fun gameplay. So far, I think this is the best art game I have ever played (yes, I consider this game to be an art game, since its gameplay revolves around painting).

To be brutally honest, I think Capcom should definitely resurrect Clover Studio's series of games - Viewtiful Joe, Okami, God Hand, etc. Those guys at Clover were so imaginative enough to make a game like this!

Infamous (PS3)

Not bad... gameplay seems alright, but first Sly 1 and now this, I'm really impressed with Sucker Punch when it comes to style and writing. So the atmosphere and story have me pretty interested here, it's just the gameplay that's kind of whatev so far.

God Hand (PS2)

Not completely sucking me in yet, but the gameplay is incredible. The customization is crazy. Loving the humor and to the point cutscenes too, haha. This definitely feels like the Platinum Games stuff I love (Metal Gear Rising and Vanquish).

I just started playing Demon's Souls on my new PS3. Faith in modern gaming has been restored.

Play Dark Souls if your faith slips again.

Battlefield 4 Beta

For anyone that didn't know the beta is now open to the public. It should be in the library of everyone who has an Origin account.

Overall it is a decent game. Feels a lot like a BF3 expansion rather then a sequel but it is still pretty fun. infantry and vehicle combat is still top notch and the destructible environments are pretty cool.

Beta So Far Only Map Available is Siege of Shanghai

The Good:
1. Levolution is pretty amazing the first few times you see it.
2. Infantry and Vehicle combat are still great.
3. Commander Mode is Back
4. Spectator mode is available and when spawning in you can actually watch a live feed of the person/vehicle you are about to spawn on.
5. Aside from the larger levolution moments there are some smaller interactive objects however the only one I have found usefull are the elevator(which can easily be camped) and mechanical barricades(great for blocking cars but tanks easily hop over them if they are going at full speed).
6. Vehicles can now have skins.(However half of them do have the option as of now attack choppers, and all armor aside from the Mobile AA do not have a paint option in the load out menu)
7. Players can now dive while swimming by pressing Z.
8. There is now a lean ability. HOWEVER it is automatic not manual. So when you are close to a corner your character will automatically lean around cover when you go to aim :P. This can lead to a good old fashioned turkey shoot for the enemy team. Haven't check to see if there is an option to disable this but I doubt it :P.

The Bad:
1. Levolution is 100% scripted and very predictable.
2. Maintenance is unlocked from the get go, is on by default, and continues to work even when a vehicle is disabled/on fire. End result is as long as your vehicle has 5% health or more you can drive away and be back to 100% in around 1 minute.
3. SoS is a poorly designed map that boils down to capping the central base and parachuting onto inaccessible rooftops to camp. A good squad can setup on a roof and stay there pretty much the whole game as long as they can handle the occasional enemy heli.
4. The environments aside from the smaller props are not very destructible. The only building that can be brought down in SoS is the tower in the center which is a scripted levolution event. The majority of the other buildings do not even show damage when attacked.
5. The kill zone of levolution events is off. If you parachute of the tower and decide to follow behind it as it falls you will die even though you are just floating through empty air :P..
6. Commander is currently locked(More of a Beta thing hopefully the will unlock later, but the fact that its locked in the first place kinds of leaves me worried that its botched at the moment)

The Ugly:
1. Hacks on Day 1. There are reports that the BF3 hacks are still functional on BF4  . As of now I have only ran into 1 blatant hacker but can only confirm the existence of an aimbot hack based upon what I observed(sitting on a 12 story building killing people 300+ yards away with an assault rifle :P think he went 80/5 :X).

Pikmin 3.

So far, it's almost everything I wanted it to be - a more expansive version of Pikmin 1, with none of the crappy cave rubbish from Pikmin 2 to be seen. The bosses seem a lot more fair than Pikmin 2's aswell, and whilst I don;t think I have much danger of running out of time, the fact that there is a limit of sorts (you have to find food to allow you to stay on the planet longer) makes the game feel more brisk, and encourages you to keep going. The 3 captains and the ability to send them places seperately is also amazingly useful.

The only real problem I have with it so far is that you cant make the pikmin run around using the right analogue stick like the gamecube version. It's made me have to plan out fights differently as its hard to make my pikmin 'dodge'.

Amazing game though. And being able to play it in bed on the gamepad only is awesome.
