The 4-in-1 game is a re-buy of sorts - as my original copy was missing the Sherlock Holmes disc/manual. If anyone's interested in my old copy (which contains just the Arcade Classics disc + manual) shoot me a PM.

Just watch out, typically after using the Action Replay for a long time, you can't use other carts. Some people don't care, as that's all they'll ever use, but for others that's a killer. I went the mod chip/region free bios route and am very happy with my choice. Have the official Sega Backup cart to go with it.

Just need to procure an official 4meg memory expansion cart...

Just watch out, typically after using the Action Replay for a long time, you can't use other carts. Some people don't care, as that's all they'll ever use, but for others that's a killer. That's the Game Shark that fucks up the cart slot. From my own experiences, the AR doesn't harm the cart slot.

I stand corrected. I had thought it was all the 3rd party carts. I only have my 1st party memory cart, so I have zero firsthand experience. Thanks for clearing that up!

So, I scored this at my local thrift last week.

It is factory sealed and the box is about an 8.5/10. It literally looks like I just walked into a store and they pulled it off the shelf.

I paid $49.90 for it, so I got a very nice deal. The most ironic thing is this thrift store is located in an old Ames department store building, and the price tag on the box is from Ames. I can't see how much it was on sale for because someone marked out the price with a black marker.

I know. I was shocked too. They usually charge $1-3 per game, but I have seen them charge less than $5 for a system before. I was expecting $20 minimum, but maybe I caught them on a good day.

Keep in mind though, that this is the same store where I found that Sega haul last year, so who knows what goes through their minds pricing-wise *shrugs*

Yes. When I had a Saturn GameShark, you can tell just by eye that the PCB is thicker than the official Saturn memory cart as well as the Action Replay. That is the reason why it messes up the cart slot.
