What is wrong with Punks or Goths?oxymoron wrote:We got a fucking comedian. I'm not punk or goth and by druggy I mean junkies not stoners. I am no longer a stoner may I say.KDub wrote:So you should fit right in?
Being constantly high is being constantly high, I don't care what it is. I'm giving you trouble because you have openly talked about being regularly high on here. Don't be quick to judge others.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there. A heroin addict is not the same as a habitual marijuana smoker. Whens the last time you heard of a stoner killing someone for a dime bag or overdosing?KDub wrote:What is wrong with Punks or Goths?oxymoron wrote:We got a fucking comedian. I've heard of a lot of murders and drug related crimes over a bag of weed. It seems to be the drug of choice in my home town. People invest their lives in growing and dealing, and when they get ripped off they go ape shit. It's not because of them using the drugs necessarily, but it is still because of the drug being illegal.oxymoron wrote:

If there is an illegal substance, people are going to commit crime that is related to the illegal drug. the drug itself is interchangeable. Saying that stoners are peaceful and don't commit crime is not a viable argument. There are some people out there that want a joint so bad that they will commit a crime to get one.
This is from personal experience. I know it strays from the argument a bit, but it pisses me off when people say stoners are harmless and nothing will happen to you. I spent enough time hiding in closets and being afraid for my life to just leave this false stereotype alone.

I know it is fiction, but see Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. If there is a large amount of something valuable around, especially when connected with other criminal activity, things can happen when deals go bad.KitKatCara wrote:I've heard of a lot of murders and drug related crimes over a bag of weed. and there are

They're two different people. I've meet various types of characters but never once was I in fear of my life. Your situation sounds like a drug dealer to me and not a stoner. Maybe where your from stoners are a little more crazy? I've never heard of someone killing for a joint or a dub sac. Now, drug dealers killing each other for ounces and pounds is a completely different thing than what I'm talking about.

I needed to buy something for my lunch the next day and since it was already dark out I didn't want to walk out too far so I decided to try 7-Eleven first. I found two things of microwavable noodles for $1 each (but only if you bought in multiples of two) and bought that, and since I couldn't scrounge up dinner I had one for dinner. And I was thirsty but unwilling to spend too much, so I figured a 32-oz Big Gulp for a buck was better than a 16-oz Dr Pepper for 30 cents more.
Ramen's cheap and tap water is less. If you insist on bleeding money invest in a compass and follow it north to NYC rather than theme park menial labor while living in a motel with mom. And failing spectacularly, being raped or murdered would still be more interesting. Sounds like a decent indy film if only someone wanted to make movies for a fucking living.

Do we really need to have the pot argument again? It always goes in circles and just pisses off everyone involved.

My main point was don't judge someone because they chose a different counter culture than you. That goth or punk kid could be one of the nicest dudes (or girl) you could ever meet.
Coincidentally when I was about 16 I went to an arcade and there were these 5 super industrial goth dudes hanging by the door as I was going in. They stopped me and ended up giving me a bag of tickets they didn't want as they weren't interested in the lame prizes.
