I was gonna post more of my thoughts but then decided to go play the U instead. One thing I wanted to say though was that I've been wanting to get the U pretty much since it was released but haven't been able to afford it. I finally got it, the Wind Waker bundle. I'm really not a fan of owning digital versions of games, but I made an exception with this one because it was just too good of a deal. I'll probably eventually print a cover out for WW so it can sit on the shelf with the rest of my games. I'm just a nut like that.

Honestly, because I have fond memories of Mario Paint. That's why I, personally, wanna see one. Aside from that though, I can see it being a really fun game. If it was every thing Mario Paint was I can't see how it wouldn't be a fun game. And it would be more. There would be Miiverse integration. There would probably be some cool feature with the gamepad's camera.

Right!

The music creator was awesome, and of course I'm not the only one who thinks so (just search YouTube for Mario Paint music). The animation thing was really cool too, allowing you to play back music you wrote during animations. Yeah, a true Mario Paint on the U would just be the definition of awesome. A game that you can spend hours and hours in, and at the same time accomplish so much and also nothing! Turn it on for 5 minutes, turn it on for 5 hours, don't worry about game progress.

Wii Music was alright. To me, it was more like Wii Sports. Some fun mini games to play. I had a few fun hours playing it with my brother, haven't touched it since.

My brother was actually the one that bought it. He saw it demoed with the balance board, he wanted to do the "drum kit" thing with it. It was actually pretty cool, but sadly, there was such a huge delay that it made it unplayable.

I dont see why people want Mario Paint still outside of nostalgia. This is 2013, there are programs that are far more advance than Mario Paint without being any more complex. I don't see the novelty anymore. Might as well petition for Kidpix to comeback.

As for obvious titles that need to happen on Wii-U, a new Pac-Man Vs of course.

And on on-line Four Swords adventure.

Oh the hell with it..how about they redo every game that had the GBA hookup on Gamecube!

Pacman Museum comes out December 5 and includes Battle Royale. Pac collection is day one for me. I've yet to play BR.

Battle Royale is cool, they have it at one of the movie theaters near me, the most fun arcade game there easily. But it's not as good as Pacman VS for sure.

With that being said, I love Pacman so I'll probably buy Museum as well. Had no clue Pac N Pal would be on this thing, only thing these guys need to do is make a video game version of Baby Pacman.

You guys are missing the most important thing ... if Mario Paint was on Wii U, you'd have Coffee Break with a touch screen. Get your priorities straight.

Some more of my random thoughts...

I said in another thread, I've owned Wind Waker for the GCN for years and on a few separate attempts was never able to get into the game. In the U version, I'm not at the furthest point I've ever been in the game (which isn't far, the Deku tree) and I'm loving it.

The Miiverse thing is pointless and great fun. I love finding bottles. I'm already kinda feeling like sailing places is a drag. I was exploring a little, and had to backtrack a few times to do random things. When you're going some where you've already been, it seems to take forever to get there (can't wait to get the faster sail). Finding bottles along the way helps the time pass.

Miiverse was something I never thought I'd really participate in, I'm not much for social networking and whatnot, but it's actually fun. I thought it would distract from gameplay, but it actually adds more fun and adventure to Wind Waker. I have it turned off in NSMBU, however.

I took a picture of the dancing guy at Windfall Island and captioned it "Disco Inferno!" and got a couple "yeahs" for it already lol. I love finding nonsense pics with funny captions like this, so I'll be doing them myself. I'll be doing song and movie references. :D

It is possible on the 3DS, but it's even more of a sinch with the U. During gameplay, you can press the home button and launch the internet browser to look up hints or whatever. I don't know if this is good or bad, but I'll probably be doing it a lot.

Speaking of the 3DS, when I was doing the initial setup on my U I was able to connect to my 3DS and transfer my Mii over instead of having to create a new one. I love when different devices can work together, and I really think Nintendo should do something more with the U and 3DS. What specifically, I don't know. But it's not like they haven't done these things in the past (the Transfer Pak on the N64, the GBA adapter on the GCN).

I'm not a big fan of the finish on the gamepad. I like the finish/texture of the PS3 controller that came with my PS3 Slim (which is slightly different than my original Dual Shock 3 and Six Axis controller). It's too glossy and it gets all mucked up with finger oils to easily. It looks bad ass with the gold Zelda inlays though, for sure!

I don't mind the console power light, it works more or less the same as the Wii did. What I don't like is a pinhole sized white light that's illuminated when a disc is inserted. Do I really need an indicator to let me know a disc is in there? No, no I do not. It's on even when the console is off. I wish it wasn't there. Seems pointless. Luckily, it isn't too bright, even when all the lights are off in the room.

Well, back to playing some more. :D I'm so glad I took off today, normally I'd be at work this time on a Sunday!

Nope, no Nintendoland. Zelda only.

Plus the digital version of the Hyrule Historia book.
