Game Boy Color, I agree, there should have been one... but I really don't think a Metroid game would have worked properly on the N64. It was in that weird inbetween transition from 2D to 3D. I guess it might have worked if it was like mischief makers... I don't know.

You'll never believe this shit: Games are much easier when you actually try to accomplish the objective instead of being a total dumbass. In Frozen Synapse, I have been trying to outright defeat my enemy instead of grabbing the keys needed to complete the mission. As you can probably guess I kept getting my ass kicked. When I decided to grab the keys using two of my units to provide cover for the one retrieving the keys, I cleared the mission in like, four moves. Shit, I did so well that I probably could've killed the final remaining unit.

How would it work?

They could have made the jump to a FPS type Metroid on the N64. Like an early version of Metroid Prime. Strange that the series simply skipped a whole generation.
