"Shmup" is far more elegant!

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Picked up a Sega Nomad with the following games for $40 today:
SONIC 3D Blast
NFL Quarterback club 96
Contra hard corps
PAPERBOY
TINY TOONS busters hidden treasure
WORLD SERIES BASEBALL 96
X-MEN 2 in clone wars
All games are cart only, also got the Ac adapter and extra 3 button controller for the nomad. The only downside, is that the ac port on the console is loose, and requires it to be wiggled to get it to stay on. I will take it apart to check the port and see if it can be resoldered or something. Either way I am happy to finally have a nomad, and it came with some good games to boot!

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
ooh congratulations on the Nomad. Sadly the chances of finding one of those in Australia in the wild are lower than low. These never got a run here and It was only a few years ago that I even found out that Sega made a handheld after the Game Gear. Contra Hard Corps on the train on original hardware would be fantastic.

Yup, common problem from clumsy users jerking the cord, easy fix.

and its already been fixed! opened it up and found one of the solder points was loose, reflowed it, and added some hot glue for support and it works like a champ! Now I need to look into those LCD mods!

Yeah, that one isn't as good as Mario's Early Years: Fun with Numbers. I've yet to pick up Preschool Fun, but once I do, I'll have the complete trilogy. Also, you paid a good price. These games often go for about $8-$12 on eBay.

You have a competitor...I also need Preschool Fun to complete my trilogy...THE HUNT IS ON!!!

On topic, I picked up a NES Power Pad from a local pawn shop for $3 this morning. I have been looking for one in good shape for a while, and I was surprised to find one this morning.
The Power Pad came with a standard NES controller, a Zapper, and a Quick Shot Joypad Model QS-126:

I have never seen one of them before, and it looks like a very interesting controller to say the least. (I will give it a shot tonight, but I am not sure I want to hold onto it. Accordingly, if someone is just dying to have one, please send me a PM.)

We had a quickshot growing up. It is great for RPGS but terrible for everything else.
