This is probably a bad time to point out you missed my daughters bat mitzvah.

Necissity projects are wrapping up - had some time to tackle "fun" projects.

Had some birch ply lying around and been meaning to build something custom for the corner of my bedroom where I keep my ps3/360/pc/router/printer. Will be stained "goldenrod" tomorrow.

Some finish cuts, wood filler, sanding and trim added:

Been tinkering w/the JAMMA Tetris converted cab I picked up a few months back - came to the realization I was going to pour hours into wiring up and drilling a new CP and then searching for a crisper monitor...just too much time and money to go into a free project. Thought about restoring the Joust artwork and after the tedious peeling off of the TETRIS stickers...realized that was for nought as well. Too gooey and pulled off too much original paint. Hated to do it, but after a few hours tinkering w/monitor, CP and decal restoration - I made the tough decision to go total gut-out. I'll use the I/O and JAMMA wiring to keep it as a JAMMA cab, but everything else is going to go.

Boys played NBA Jam while I toiled away...

CP was rotted and stained from years of drinks and whatnot spilled on it - save the clasps and the rest went.

With CP, bezel, marquee, back door and coin door removed - I gave a first coat of Aluminum paint:

Build a new (wider and deeper) CP - in the background, you can see the bezel and coin door which is baby blue and will have hot pink accents:

Bears game tomorrow and then soccer game - so prob won't get back at this until next weekend...

One of your sons will have a quinceanera soon, so I'll make up for it.

:D The buddies and I decided to go to Comic Con as the survivors of Left 4 Dead(1+2)
I'm going dressed as Bill.

 finished all my homework, time to go to bed and enjoy whats left of my weekend.

Side-note: hope to find some good comic books and maybe even some games to enjoy, when I get home.

Man! Those were the days for me. Taking my A+ and studying for the Network+ exams was a blast, and it was all paid for. My school already had licensing for CCNA material, so instead of studying for the Network+, we were actually studying for the CCNA with all the ios junk cut out.

At time, I still think I'd have more fun working at a datacenter working on the actual hardware/networking side of things.

:? Can't decide between the 3DS XL or the Zelda Wii-U.

 Immediately after I thanked a customer for their patience tonight, they replied with "What's taking so long!?". After I explained what was going on, they were extremely apologetic. I believe I counted 5 Sorry's in their reply.

:D Mega Marathon: Mega Man 2 starts tonight.

Smile: A friend all the way back from middle school and his wife and daughter visited yesterday. His daughter and my pit bull instantly became friends.

I mentioned this in the Book thread, but it doesn't hurt to mention it again:

If a young kid is coming over to your house (and you don't have kids), bring down some children's books and toys. Give the kid something to play with or they'll find something (usually of value) to fiddle with. Not only does this protect your stuff (oh, say a $400 piece of carnival glass) but it also gives the parents a chance to relax and not say "Don't touch that!" and "Put that down" over and over.

The one and a half year old Tilley had two stuffed monkeys, a rubber Stay Puft toy, and a pile of books to play with. She went straight for the books, and I read her The Cat in The Hat.

Kid was a ball of energy. She'd run around, point at things, and name them with a smile. "Daddy...Mommy...Doggy...Monkey...Book...Table!".

Frown: Anytime my wife gets around a kid she gets baby fever, and also super depressed and combative. And guess who she takes it out on?
