What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Is your sister's last name Henderson? Because that might explain why she doesn't want you to shorten his first name to Harry.

I am the same way with my Niece and Nephews. Nothing will stop me from calling my Niece, originally named Bree, Breesy Cheese. Same thing with one of my nephews, his name is Landon so you know that he will forever be known as Lando! Gotta ask him how Cloud City is doing!Luke wrote:Smile: Finally got a call from my Sister after giving birth to my nephew.
Frown: 'Twas a pity call that lasted less than a minute. Also, my maternal Grandfather's name was Harry, and the baby is named Harrison Henry. When I asked "How's Harry Henry?" my Sister was quick to remind me "HIS NAME IS HARRISON".
Cool name, but "Harry" should be allowed, and I'll continue to use it as I'll continue to call Hallie "Hallelujah".
"Harrison". Boy is that kid lucky he didn't grow up ion the 90's.
Frown: Last few nights have been impossible for me to sleep thanks to horrific and terrifying events that have transpired these recent days.
Smile: Last night, however, led to some of the best sleep I have ever had. I got 11 hours and I feel amazing. My brain was feeling like it was going to wither and die and it feels so good to have some amazing sleep. Ready to tackle the day.
Smile: I also have time to do things that I WANT to do. I have been really getting ahead of the game housework and schoolwork wise so I have gotten time to relax, play games and work on my Text Adventure game.

Last name is Schute since the marriage. I told her to name the kid "Dwight Holy Schute" from the get go.MrPopo wrote:Is your sister's last name Henderson? Because that might explain why she doesn't want you to shorten his first name to Harry.
Had her last name been Henderson I would have suggested the middle name of "And the".
I adore the episode of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER where they have the kid's middle name be "wait for it".
If my name was Harry I would totally call my nuts the Hendersons.
Smile: Fresh Market was spectacularly great today. Pumpkin empenadas, chicken tamales, habaneros, purple bell peppers, cucumber, squash, string beans, ichiban eggplant, onions, and tomatoes were purchased.

I also purchased two hotdogs from a hotdog vendor. They were awful, but what else to expect from a hot dog vendor from New Jersey? Asshole actually asked me if I wanted ketchup.

Luke, New Jersey & I've seen you post about college football (IRRC, maybe NFL).... Rutgers? When I lived in Nashville, I worked with a guy who went there.

Smile: Goings on with my cousin's wedding in Ottoman. He's a super, super nice guy (caught in photos I have posted here). Here's a great example why he's so honest and nice.
I looked at all the travel expenses (as cheap as possible) and it was around $1,000 flat. Car, flight, hotel for me and the missus, plus gifts and such formalities.
Asked, "Would you rather have five hundred bucks or see me at the wedding?".
His response was "Nooo man. That's too much money. Just send a card and you're fine".
And this is why his card will include a check.
