Seems somewhat appropriate.

Do you have the sword? One of the big issues that the game has is that attacking and killing something is a mixed bag. Sometimes you will succeed, while other times you will not. So save and try try again. If you keep attacking him with it you should succeed, but it doesn't always happen.

I defeated the troll by
stabbing him with the elven sword found upstairs in the house.

Literally 'Stab Troll with Sword'.

Rather annoyingly, its not always successful. Probably best to save before trying.

@bogus: hilarious.

@aj: well that's specific. I was using that item, but with the word "attack" instead of the word you did.

It's not in the word you used, Noise. That part of the game is actually random.

Anyone actually playing a physical version of this?

I've spotted a couple of Commodore 64 versions on eBay...

wait, what? Explain. Maybe via spoilers just in case.

When I used "attack" it wasn't good. When I used the word AJ said, it was good.

@BSD: I almost was gonna play a physical copy via Black Ops, but then I realized that for less than half the price I could get the game, and its sequels and a shitload of maps and feelies and wouldn't need to also buy a 360 chatpad.

Huh, weird. I wonder if it's a minor difference in the interpreter between different platforms. Then again, I always used kill X with Y, not attack X with Y. But the way you said it, I thought you meant you tried to use attack, the attack missed, and you died.

No I didn't die, it just was an unsuccessful attack everytime so I fled.
