Same city with same locations and other than the super-powers shoehorned in same mechanics as well. I'll certainly get it once the price drops because I absolutely loved The Third. I just can't justify paying that much for what is basically a big expansion pack.
Well, yeah, it was an expansion pack originally.

I recently started Dino Crisis for PSX, and I got to say it is a lot more puzzle-based than the sequel.

Finally doing this:

Mega Man 1 - 10

I've played several Mega Man games throughout the years, but haven't played them all (much less in order). While playing Super Godzilla, I noticed that I enjoy quick play sessions on my breaks. Play a stage; Defeat a boss; Back to work. This seems to work best and keeps me from getting bored or overwhelmed. I think Mega Man's gameplay would work perfectly for this.

This will be for the original Mega Man games, as I've played far more Megaman X games and want to give the original Blue Bomber more of a chance. Of the original series, I can only recall playing:

Mega Man II
Mega Man IV
Mega MAN 8

I'm using mmhp.net to help with tips and tricks, because I don't have time to sit around learning who is weak to what. To me, the time taken up by learning these skills would be frustrating as I just want to get on to the next game.

I should probably finish playing the Super Mario games first, but... I hate them so much.

It's more RE styled is how I'd put it. Dino Crisis 2 was kind of a weird action/arcade blend.

Have fun with those DDK doors. I'd argue Dino Crisis has tougher puzzles than any of the RE's had.

Getting towards the end of Golden Sun: The Lost Age (pretty sure I am, at least, I'm in the Western Sea), playing it on the Game Boy Player on my GameCube. And I'm loving it! Even better than the first game, and longer. I love the mixture of JRPG elements and Zelda-like puzzles. And despite the story admittedly not really being that deep or interesting, there's just something likable about the world and the characters.

I went ahead and ordered Golden Sun: Dark Dawn of DS off of eBay, it's on it's way!

FFXIV. When I can log in. When I can't, I'm pretty much hitting the button like a rat in a Skinner Box. :|

If you've just arrived at the western sea, I'd say you're about 2/3rds through? Have you been getting every djinn from both games (the first and second)? There is a bonus area where you need all of them.

Dont go into Dark Dawn expecting a masterpiece and you'll probably enjoy it. It's not a bad game, but it's definitely not nearly as good as the first two imo.

Just started Vanquish on the 360 and Fragile Dreams Farewell Ruins of the Moon on the Wii.

Vanquish so far has been pretty good. The combat is really fluid with a lot of focus on moving rapidly around the map and using slow mo. The story however is kind of flat and I am starting to notice a few things which bug me. The two biggest annoyances are no auto aim and having to manually pick up ammo :P. Was really hoping for something similar to Binary Domain since it is one of my favorite TPS of all time, but this isn't quite scratching the itch might have to do another play through of BD soon.

Fragile Dreams is also going great. The atmosphere is pretty cool and the story seems interesting enough. Where the game really shines though is in its use of the speaker in the motion controller. You have to use sounds transmitted by the controller to locate certain events and life forms when exploring the environment and you can receive tips by holding it to your head like a radio. Controls at first were very touchy but after I got the hang of them it feels like a very smooth and engaging experience. Only issue I ran into so far was the young female characters outfit. It is a bit to revealing especially for a younger girl and it is somewhat awkward.
