Id play it. Other than BF1942 Desert Combat, it is the most fun I have had in a Battlefield game.flex wood wrote:*2143fastbilly1 wrote:Bring back 2142!

Re: Battlefield 4
I'm always surprised by the amount of love Battlefield 2142 gets from those who remember it, as it wasn't particularly popular by Battlefield standards. It seemed like it was as high-profile as BF Vietnam or Modern Combat, but no one cares about those two anymore. Just 2142.
Heck, for as popular as BF2 was it seems odd how little discussion it gets anymore. What's up with 2142 getting more love than BF2?

I think it's less that people are looking more fondly on 2142 as the game it was, but rather would like to see that future war concept brought back, which will sort of happen anyway what with DICE making Battlefront 3.

Vietnam had an awesome soundtrack, but alot of the things that made it good were added to 2. Truth be told, I am not a huge Vietnam War "fan," so while I enjoyed the title, I think that 2 really just eclipsed it in every way.BoringSupreez wrote:I'm always surprised by the amount of love Battlefield 2142 gets from those who remember it, as it wasn't particularly popular by Battlefield standards. 2142 was different though, it was a scifi Battlefield title. It had Mechs, Titans, Hovercrafts, Smart Minefields, and was really the first in the series where being in a vehicle was not infinitely better than being infantry (atleast when we played). Also, while aircraft were strategically useful, they were not godly like in 1942 or 2.

Re: Battlefield 4
The only Battlefield game I ever got into was 1942. Man I loved that game. What I played of 3 was okay but didn't impress me.
So here's to hoping 4 ends up being awesome.

Older. Not wiser.
Re: Battlefield 1942
Its been a few months since I have been on BF3 and I will probably be sucked into Dead Space 3 for a while but my Origin username is Fragems if you want to add me.Adam wrote:Battlefield 1942 is free on Origin if you didn't know. It is the only digital version of the game on the market and it is fully patched.
Does anyone want to add me as a friend on Origin? Maybe we can play Battlefield 3 sometime. It would also be nice to compare statistics and achievements on Battlelog.
