Is now the time for PS3 collecting?
Now that the PS4 is on it's way this year, I'm thinking that now is a good time to stock up on PS3 titles, especially the ones that are plunging in price. Also, there are some imports like Wangan Midnight and sich that I think might be hard to find cheaply in the future but I don't know.

I think your a little early. Maybe in a year or two but right now is way too early imo.

Waaaaay too early.
When new games are $20 in price (and used ones are $14 or less) I'll get excited.

Both PS3 and 360 games can have solid deals on 'em. It's probably a good time to be looking if you're hoping to snag collector's editions or new/sealed condition games in general.
It's obviously not yet the time to try and get everything, since there are still plenty of titles out there for full price. But, there are a good number of games available new for sub $20, and occasionally sub $10, so it's worth at least looking.

I won't seriously start considering PS3 for collecting for the next 1.5-3 years. I mean come on man, the PS4 isn't even out yet!

They aren't already? A lot of the big name games drop in price very quickly these days. Add in the internet to find great deals on places like Amazon or wherever and that makes it even easier.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Waaaaay too early.

Don't know what crack bone and oxy are smoking but a lot of games are dirt cheap right now. Most of my PS3 collection consists of games I got for $20 or less.
The last game I got was Gran Turismo 5 with all the DLC for $15 new.

I don't own a PS3 yet, but I almost started to buy some games as some main ones I want like SF4AE, RE5 Gold and many more can be had for a tenner or so as it seems. It usually takes me buying some games before I get a system.

You people just aren't cheap enough. I generally do not consider a game a bargain if it costs more than $4.

Crack? Maybe bud and shrooms and once in a blue moon some DMT but no crack. But seriously all i'm saying is that it's not on the PS2 level which he's trying to portray. To me collecting time means 80%+ of the games are under $25 like the PS2, PSP, GBA, GC and so on.Opa Opa wrote:Don't know what crack bone and oxy are smoking but a lot of games are dirt cheap right now.
