This isn't a diatribe and isn't meant to single anyone out. Besides this part: SamMan, your avatar could cause a seizure. It's obnoxious.

I also need to (you guessed it) mow my lawn so I will be keeping a close look at my clock and will try to post this before 3:30pm est.

Keep in mind that I'm a happily married man, have definitely had my share of experiences with women that I do not care for, and I do not consider every woman a princess or a good human being. I also have a foul mouth at times, but something happened recently that opened my eyes a bit. Take it for what it is worth.

When the Philly Eagle's Riley Cooper said "I'll fight all those Ni**as" people lost their shoes and minds. "Bad Cooper. Bad bad bad". Yet if he said "I'll fight all those bitches" no one would give a second take. It wouldn't be on every paper, and it wouldn't be national news. Shouldn't it be? Semantics for sure, but I find the use of the word bitch, in a certain connotation of course, to be more offensive than the word nigger.

Over the span of our collective lives on Earth, who has been more oppressed? A race, or an entire sex? Who still suffers from more oppression today? It's obvious that women are still being trafficked, beaten, raped, and in more places than you can count are treated as second class citizens

"Slut", "Bitch", "Whore", etc., I don't like when people use those words to classify a woman. Those words are intended to hurt their feelings, and they work. Don't be a dick and try to insult someone. Idiots exist, but you don't need to put them down.

Man, I missed it by one minute.
So your issue with my statement is more oriented towards me calling her a bitch than my expectation of her knowledge, correct?

Hope retro isn't gone for good. He is bonkers, but super civil.
I dont follow the comic book thread, so this is news to me, and good news indeed! He was obnoxious most of the time.

I'm not sure I'd characterize him as "super civil." Basically I saw that a bunch of folks in the comic book thread were starting to get wrapped up in the same kind of BS "arguments" you and I (and others) have had with him in the movie thread and advised them of the futility of trying to reason with him. In response, he said "EVERY time I express an opinion, no matter what it is, I get called stupid, assholish, whatever" and told us all to FOAD.

That's a little harsh to say the least.
