I don't think assuming 'disorderly's position on this has anything to do with the actual topic. The website name has to do with the articles author, not disorderly, and he stated of searching for multiple sources about it and supplying the initial source and perpetrator of the act.
As for the act itself. I see no relevance for multiple reasons:
a state court can not revoke or alter status of citizenship (meaning that they can't rule directly that someone is no longer a American born citizen, but only prove that someone isn't... lack of referral of proof doesn't prove this)
a state court ruling can be overturned by the states supreme court, and further more by the federal supreme court
a civil suit can not issue that type of punishment, especially if ruled by default
some might respond by saying that such things occur in courts though. But that is is the purpose of appeals court. A judges job is to "interpret the law", and interpretation is litigated in bias. A judge is meant to avoid bias, but the judicial system concedes this isn't a guarantee. So the appeal system is set up for this reason (amongst others). Just because some judge in Pennsylvania said this doesn't mean what that judge says is the law... it was his interpretation of the law. And if considering the candidacy of a president, that should probably be held to the respect of the top guys who interpret the constitution. The Federal Supreme Court.

lordofduct - thanks for spelling out why this is ridiculous even if it is a "real court case."
As an Obama supporter, it is great watching folks grasp at straws as they get desperate...

Grasp straws?
You think this is bad, you should see the current debate about how the Obama campaign disabled the Address Verification System on its donations box, so you could enter a fake name, address, profession, and everything else and still send money if you have a real credit card number. A guy sent Obama $5 with his credit card and addresses claiming he was from North Korea, Gaza, Iran, Kenya, and Venezuela. He even used these as his names:
Fake Name
Not A. Realperson
Finance Violation
Fraudulent Charge
Over Donation Limit
Good times!

It's happened on both sides this election. Especially when Palin was introduced... even now they're bringing up her $150,000 outfits instead of talking about real issues. They fail to mention how much Pelosi's pearls cost or Hillaries outfits (almost twice that of Palins).dsheinem wrote:As an Obama supporter, it is great watching folks grasp at straws as they get desperate...
It gets kind of ridiculous about this time. I can't wait until its over. The anger this election has caused me. I had to just turn off the news, shy away from digg, and remove a good bit of sources of my RSS reader!

Seriously, this is a F'n emulation forum. Keep the politics off of it. Some of us come here to relax.
Go post over at InfoWars if you think Obama is the Anti-Christ.

and as i have stated before this is the "whatever" section of a gaming site. if you only want to read game topics, stick to the other 10 forum sections. or if you don't want to read about politics, why open a topic that has anything politically related in the title?
some of us here actually like to talk politics...if you don't like to discuss politics don't.

Honestly, here's how I'm seeing things as playing out:
OBAMA GETS ELECTED:
The right-wing begins using left-wing tactics. Expect lots of "Obama lied, people died" bumper stickers and "F the President" written up to look like the Obama campaign's O. It won't get to the extent of the left, as the right respects the military and understands that the more trouble they cause, the bigger chance for our boys to get killed overseas(based on a Harvard study of military morale, it was discovered that every time an American politician claimed the war was lost, enemy morale shot up). So don't expect some of the language, such as calling our troops "murderers," "rapists," "imperialists," or "baby killers," which the left gave us quite a bit of over the last eight years. Still, it's not going to be pleasant in America, and no rifts will be healed, only deepened as an all Democrat government does its thing. Maybe we'll get lucky, and Mississippi will try to impeach Obama for murder.
That is, of course, if the worst-case scenario doesn't occur. I don't like to think about the worst-case scenario.
McCAIN GETS ELECTED:
The Democrats sit back, lick their wounds, and realize that pandering to the radicals in their base is not the way to get the public to vote for them. They restructure themselves as more center-left, genuinely begin putting the country first, and a much stronger(and in the eyes of right-wingers, respectable) party emerges in time for the 2012 election. We'll see some uncivil language from the far-left and far-right, but we have a good election and both sides are ok with the results.
That's what some on the right are hoping for, at least. Also, the more Libertarian side of the Republican party would like more people to listen to them.
Will it happen? Don't know. We'll find out in a couple of weeks.

I can't picture republicans being that aggressive.
But that's just me from the slice of Republican heaven Orange County surrounded by hollywood / "rebellious college blogging" Liberals.
We tend to keep to ourselves.

Re: Obama defaults on Federal Lawsuit Jeopardizes Presidential..
Well, i wan't expecting this on racketboy, but it is an interesting topic.
I've been watching this for a while.
My take on it is that the burden of proof for "qualification" is completely on Obama.
or McCain for that matter.
If i were to run for president and i claimed to be natural born, resident for 14 years, and 35, i would have to be able to substantiate my claim and prove my "qualifications". In my case i would not be qualified because i am not 35.
Obama would not release his birth certificate or his mothers passports to prove the whereabouts of his birth. And i see that he wouldn't respond to this lawsuit at all either.
I don't know whether he's qualified or not, but it makes me wonder.
McCain on the other hand released his info to the public, and he was born outside of the US. There has been alot of debate on that too. So he very well may not be qualified either.... lol
what do we do.......
