How did you get a new copy below MSRP at release?
IIRC I think it was 39.99 plus tax at the eb games store by my house...so after gst hst and all it was about 47 bucks

That's really weird that they'd sell it below MSRP at launch. I wish my chain game stores did that.

Popped into the local thrift shops yesterday (haven't been in a while, damn re-sellers ALWAYS beat me to the punch.) didn't find anything. The Goodwill workers always tell me how there are 3 or 4 guys that come in like 4 times a day to buy video games. Sadly, I have a job, and cannot compete with that. LOL.

Anyway, popped into this pawn shop by my house when I got home. They used to be a great place to find $3 PS2 and Xbox games. Lately, they've been "ebaying" their prices on some games though. However, I'm not too sure on who looks them up. I asked how much they'd give me if I brought in a copy of one of their supposed "elite" games. They said, "Oh, we give 50 cents for all games." I said, "Even the ones you have marked up to $100 over there?" They said.... yup. LOL. Anyway, I gotta think that someone put some games out and didn't consult the person that is doing the ebay pricing. Cause I found some winners!!! LOL.

I got a great deal, so I didn't mind paying the hiked up price for Suidoken 4. They wanted $20, but I offered $15 and they took it. The rest were $3 a pop, Grim Grimoire is sealed, and all are CIB.

Suck on that re-sellers!

That Xenoblade for $3 is the kicker. Nice score.

well your going to find out since I bought them from him, is it one of those games that changes depending what region console its being played on? I have a JP/US region switch mod.
It's actually unique in that you can change the version directly from the game options. Though if that option isn't there, region switching might work.

The reason I wonder is because it's not just a title change like Tatsujin/Truxton. They changed some gameplay elements and balance in Grind Stormer.

It's been a while so I don't quite remember for sure but I think Grind Stormer version plays like a typical shmup with normal power-ups while V-V has a Gradius/Slapfight style power-up system.

EDIT: Yeah, Hobie beat me to it  .
ok I got the carts I had to destroy the shells to get the pcbs out because i had to file down the edges because they were to wide to fit into my cart, but they fit just fine into some old sports game shells i just need good repro labels made. now VV when put in the system on american mode boots up as Grindstormer which is just like the real grindstormer with the option to play it in VV mode, but why do that when i can just boot it up in japanese mode and it plays as VV.

I didn't find a single game worth picking up......but I did find some consoles.

Two broken Xbox 360's with 2 controllers (rrod & disc read error): $15 for both

DS Lite and GBA: $1 each. Both work great!

I've been looking for a new 360 since mine rrod a couple months ago. So what I did was swap the dvd laser from my 360 with the one I got today, and it works! Hell, even if they were both broken, $15 for 2 controllers is a good deal.

Was the Xeonoblade accidently included in the photo or was it really only three bucks?

Great scores and a very good point when buying dead consoles. The controllers included makes the purchase worth it!

Maybe post a detailed Guide with hopefully any pics you might have took on the Laser change?
