I might be going looney as I'm starting to prefer freshly sliced cucumber on my burger instead of hamburger dill chips.

Love pickles. I've even eaten whole dill pickles for breakfast (I've also eaten sauerkraut for breakfast, so I am an odd lot). But pickles can be a bit overwhelming, and fresh cucumber slices add the crunch, but you can still taste the burger. They also add a bit of a Summer flavor if you will. Still haven't found a good hamburger bun from a grocery store. Stuff all tastes like cheap white bread pretending to be a bun.

Going to Kuma's Corner fairly soon, can't wait to try their signature burgers.

edit* Oh S#!T. I just crossed the beams.

Frown: Personal junk that I don't mind sharing with internet weird-os. My love can't ovulate without medication, and it makes her feel like a disappointment and a lousy wife. There isn't an amount of back patting nor "cheer ups" that can get her to stop moping and feeling sorry for herself (biggest turn off ever). I can't stop saying "The medicine works, who cares?", but until there's a bun in the oven, she's becoming the biggest rain, nay downpour, on my everyday parade.

Smile: 50% off on my dry cleaning bill this week, and they got a nasty stain out of one of my ties. Every cloud...

I was wondering how pregnancy stuff got into the food thread...

I love fresh cucumber!

One of my favorite snacks is sliced (or cubed, for you cubists) cucumber, with lime juice and a little salt and pepper. So light and fresh, it's crazy good.

Also I love me a good shirazi (I dont know if I spelled that right) salad. It's essentially what I listed above (cubed) with cubed tomato and onion, and probably another spice I can't think of. I usually get it at any Iranian food restaurant. It's so delicious.

You and my wife. She hates that I cut up her perfectly good cucumbers for making pickles.

Sliced cucumber, sliced red onion, freshly sliced tomato, a squirt of red wine vinegar, salt and pepper served in a bowl that has been in the freezer for an hour. Easy and delicious.

I don't peel my cucumbers unless necessary. I usually run a fork down the skin to give it some pizazz though.

Fresh tzatziki is also awesome, but very difficult to get right. Death to those who add dill.

The cucumbers we have been growing are perfect at a foot long, so no can do. I do atleast make chunk pickles. We have been trying to do half sours, but thus far no luck.

Visited the Farmer's Market today.

Scooped up a white eggplant, bell peppers, peaches, okra, empanadas, tamales, and dozens of mosquito bites.
