Frown: Personal junk that I don't mind sharing with internet weird-os. My love can't ovulate without medication, and it makes her feel like a disappointment and a lousy wife. There isn't an amount of back patting nor "cheer ups" that can get her to stop moping and feeling sorry for herself (biggest turn off ever). I can't stop saying "The medicine works, who cares?", but until there's a bun in the oven, she's becoming the biggest rain, nay downpour, on my everyday parade.

Smile: 50% off on my dry cleaning bill this week, and they got a nasty stain out of one of my ties. Every cloud...
I'm no doctor but I heard mood and stress can effect a female's cycle. If you could get her to relax, maybe you guys could get lucky. :)

Best of wishes

This is true. It can go from having serious health problems to not even having a cycle that month. Also, stress during pregnancy can cause some horrible things as well. I wish the best for you guys. It seems like you already have a doctor that is aware of this issue, so don't be afraid to bring this up to him/her too. Stress can take a physical toll on the body, and that is true for both males and females.

Tell her that the fact that she has gone to the doctor and has gotten help for her condition makes her awesome no matter what. It would be different if she sat there and complained, but did nothing. I wish you guys luck. Kids are awesome, and a huge pain in the ass, but mostly awesome. Jinx and I started early, but we wouldn't change it for the world.
I'm here for your body.

We should have done the same. Or...well, you know what I mean.

Thanks for the kind words.

Smile: An ex-coworker called me with the news that her her Mother passed away. I have not spoken with her in years, but she said "I knew I could talk to you". We spoke for about a half hour, and through her tears, I got her to laugh.

As mouthy as I am online, I'm not that bad of a sounding board and I actually am a "listens" and not "waits to talk" type of person.

At the end I asked "was this a business call or a therapy session?" (in the correct tone of course) which made her laugh. Always a good feeling to cheer someone up.

Bonus Smile: My Dog is multi tasking. She's panting, sitting down, and her head is serving as a remote control tray. Good dog.

Even the mental picture of this is entertaining :)

Smile: Bought a broken VGA box for dreamcast (I knew it was broken going into the deal. Paid only shipping). Couldn't fix it, and after tinkering with it, it looks like 'innovation' wired the thing completely wrong. I ended up scrapping most of it, but I took the actual plug that goes into the dreamcast, broke that open, and soldered new wires to it to make an RGB cable for my PVM. The improvement over s-video is drastic, so it's nice to have RGB for the games that don't like VGA.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

I love it when skate posts.

Spoilers due to douche tone:
Stuff is looking pretty darned good for me right now. Received another 'lor' today (copied from a pdf, so bare with me, and of course the letter has been edited to save my anonymity):

"To Whom it May Concern,

I met Luke in 2005 as he was a neighbor to my two friends and future business partners.
Although we were all undergrads at East Carolina and Luke was a graduate student, he always
treated us as equals and we became friends. As I got to know Luke, I was impressed with
his knowledge of culinary arts. Over the time we spent together, it was his overall brightness,
helpful nature, eagerness to learn and professionalism that impressed me the most.
As my friends and I approached the end of our undergraduate studies in 2007, we decided to
use the talents and skills we learned in college to start a business. Luke was instrumental in
helping us get to a successful start. He assisted us in our entire company structure as well
as our plan for how to penetrate the market. Using the low-cost provider business model, we
were able to secure successful projects to help add accreditation to our edgling Graphic
Design business. It also helped us to continue to grow every year through recession and
evolve into the agency we are today. Without his help and guidance our story may have
ended up dierent. With the business knowledge he instilled in us we have led our business
to the most successful year to date with promise for more growth.

It is for these reasons, as well as other unspoken attributes, that lead me to highly recommend
Luke to your company. Luke is a great asset and will only help to grow your business
and add a positive, hardworking leader to your workforce."

Not that I'm weighing much on the letters of recommendation, but I now have four CEO's and two lawyers telling people basically "You'd be dumb not to give this guy the keys to the car".

Not that anyone trusts a lawyer *cough* besides Professional Gamer that is ;)

Smile: The Charlotte Hornets will be the Charlotte Hornets again.

Well, without Muggsy Bogues, Dell Curry, Kendall Gill, Larry Johnson*, and Alonzo Mourning*, but at least we have the name back.

**Best NBA JAM team ever.

I'll keep that in mind during my visit to the Queen City.

Frown: Good friend of mine blew out his knee. It looks like his leg was equipped with an air bag and it deployed. It's pretty gross, and he planned on going to Carowinds (NC Amusement Park) tomorrow, which won't be happening. I hate sad people being sad, and this ruined his weekend.

Smile: Beating Metal Gear (again) was a blast. Frustrating at times, but overall my face was glued to the screen when playing it, and the music is still in my head.

Yay!: Shopping spree! *jumps up and down while flailing arms* During lunch I'm headed out to purchase a few casual shirts and a pair of jeans or two. My button ups are too billowy on me and the BR has slim fit shirts which I am in need of. I like having broad shoulders and about zero waist, so it makes my shirts look like drapes. This is why I prefer wearing fitted clothing over "M" or "L" sized shirts.

Frown: People who give up cable or "the dish" are becoming as annoying as new vegetarians. Replace "How can you eat that when there are other alternatives?" with "Don't you know about netflix and Hulu?" and there you go.

Yes I know about Hulu and Netflix, and yes I know red meat isn't the best thing to eat, but I enjoy them both.
