What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Agree with Hobesters.
Remember that cars aren't investments and in the end no one gives a swine what you drive as long as you keep it presentable. I drive a 2001 Ford Focus S2 that still gets me compliments (maybe one a year, and usually from my wife).

"Presentable" is a matter of opinion. Our shitty ass flatbed is completely unpresentable in most people's eyes, but I like it because nobody wants to drive near us, thus we have nice open road around us.
And I don't think very many cars past '95 are "presentable" because they all look the freaking same.

Forlorn, you missed the point, and goes without saying, very disrespectfully so.
What hobie said, and is accurate about, is that a Ford being made today likely has as many foreign parts as a Kia being made today. Buying Ford / GM / Chrysler no longer equates to "buying American" - i'll have to check for accuracy, but I recall a report in Time a couple years back, but in the report, it stated something to the effect that buying a Toyota brought more money into the US economy than buying GM, and that Toyota had grown more jobs in the US than GM had as well.

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Guys, did you miss the whole "pre 95" stuff in my first post? I couldn't care less about current cars, because I don't really like them. The new sports cars and fancy ass trucks are nice, but they aren't metal enough for me, along with the fact that I don't like the way they drive, I overcorrect a ton because I'm used to driving older vehicles.
And I was pissed at Hobie for essentially saying that I was going to crash my car. That's a pretty damn wrong thing to say.

I've done better here than anywhere else, honestly. I have issues with getting advice because of my extremely low self esteem, which leads to me overreacting to criticism, along with issues even asking for help.prfsnl_gmr wrote:*sigh*

...but when you get advice you just asked for - you get defensive and argumentative.
Sadly, we've had this very conversation before.
