As I recall, the dots were scratch-off areas (like instant Lotto tickets) involving some sort of game. I think the objective was explained on the back of the cards.

I actually have a few unopened packs that I bought from a collectables store in Hollywood about a year ago. I forgot I had them until I saw that post.

Also, NES! The box said $20 on it, but when I went up to pay, they said it had been returned previously because it didn't work. So I got it for $5. All it needed was a new pin connector and now it works great! Woo!
Awesome! I would bet dollars to donuts all that pin connector needs is a through cleaning. No need to replace it.

Some pretty good game stuff and lots of interesting paper work. I'm always interested in the paper stuff because it is always gone. And these cards are something I've never seen before. They're pretty neat.
Very Nice! The crazy part is your coworker had all that NES stuff since he was a kid and now getting rid of it! Not often an adult can have an opportunity to rediscover treasures of their youth like that. At least in good hands and not donated to a Thrift Store. All the rare NES documents would have been trashed otherwise.

@ BumbleChump - Nice catch on the NES!

Nah, the cartridge would slide in and out with zero resistance. That thing needed to be replaced.

That just means they used a Game Genie and/or left a game popped down in there forever. Bending the pins in would have solved that, along with some cleaning.

bending the pins is such a pain in the ass. i did it once, and i will probably never do it again. it's worth the $10 or whatever a new adapter costs for me to not have to sit and fuck with those things.

Picked up a boxed copy of After Burner II for the Genesis for $3.97. Sadly, the box is a tad dinged up and the back plastic has a tear. It at least had the manual

Dreamcast - Armada €3

Very very happy with this one! Would've never won it this cheap had it been advertized correctly...

Armada never had a PAL release by the way...
