Want payback? Most of the capsaicin in peppers is stored in the inner membrane of the pepper, and not the seeds like most people think.

Now the pepper will still be a scorcher, But if you slice the pepper in half, and remove the inner membrane on your half, but leave the membrane on your opponents half... I'm sure you get where I'm going.

Ghost pepper salsa might just be a little overkill...

Anything is bad in excess...
Wasn't as hot as I was expecting, but I think this salsa was just light on it.

That's a good point you bring up there. I always heard you have to remove the seeds because they cause irritation.

So maybe that's what makes that salsa killer on your intestines?...

From my experience, Bhut Jolokia (ghost pepper) loses a lot of heat when its cooked.

I entered a chili cook off with a bunch of friends and I wanted to go for hottest chili. I used 30 habanero peppers in it. Mine was pretty hot.

My friend Christina (who is a spicy FREAK OF NATURE) used 50 thai chiles, and 3 ghost peppers in hers. I was expecting to explode from the spice, but it wasn't actually too bad. Hot, yes. But it wasn't super crazy.

And I'm not trying to say "oh man im so manly that ghost peppers dont affect me" or whatever. I can eat pretty spicy stuff, but I know my limits. The ghost is pretty much right past my tolerance. It was just surprising that her chili wasn't incredibly crazy hot.

I always throw in a couple of jalapenos when I make meatloaf. Sometimes habaneros if I'm up for something a little spicier.

That guy is right on the money. I used to be proud of my state, but now, I am ashamed to admit I'm from there. If we don't get rid of these jerks in 2014, we might as well secede because we won't deserve to call ourselves Americans anymore.

Blah, just sounds like a lot of one-sided partisan complaining. Certain things if true would be troubling, but several I would agree with. Your comments of not calling yourselves American is beyond exaggeration and ridiculous.

Everything there seems pretty well documented as true and seems pretty aggressively regressive. What do you think is worth agreeing with?

Don't get me started on the bullshit that NC politics is. Pat changed his stance in a heartbeat, and did it so, so sneakily.

And John Edwards anyone?

And also there is my own personal experience with the NC Gov't. During a takeover my company received a grant of nearly one million dollars to fire around seventy people to "create new jobs". Firing seventy people to hire seventy new people was seen as "creating new jobs". We didn't create s#it. We let go a lot of workers to save money, and that is the bottom line.

Regressive from a liberal pov. The decision to limit the unemployment for one. If you further tax businesses, you could be perpetuating the lack od job growth. A year of unemployment is excessive.

I also wouldnt mind the lowering of the state income tax. I am from a state with no income tax, so if I lived there, I would want it to go away completely.

And a lot of the if true statement I made stems from the spin a biased writer puts on his points. He will only bring up portions that support his cause. From my experience many of these types of editorials fail to put things into perspective and only highlight specific cherry picked things to further their agenda. This is true for liberals and conservatives.

I wouldn't agree with lower education spending, but didn't know pre-K spending was requisite. To me that is called daycare, and government spending there is excessive. I see the change of political balance and actions of the lawmakers as reverting recent laws and changes they didn't agree with. And they are representing their people and what they want done as they were voted in...
