Re: The Wrestling Thread
I'm not sure what the deal is with the Briscoes for any Ring of Honor fans but hoping to find out a bit more tomorrow. One of my favorite parts of the Place to Be Podcast is the interviews with Kevin Kelly. I'm actually going to be meeting KK in a couple weeks at a show in Rhode Island.

I had heard he passed away.Luke wrote:No love for Doink?
That was during the era when our family was living in the boonies, and cable wasn't available out there. So I missed a few of the years between the Hogan/Macho Man/Ultimate Warrior days and the Attitude Era.
I thought I had heard there were a few guys that played Doink the Clown, though?

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Yeah, the guy who passed was the original Doink. It's a real shame. Supposedly he had made a tweet about being excited about everything he had planned for the summer. Then he suddenly died soon after.
In more positive news, I'm digging the stuff WWE is doing right now. I think they need to be careful with what they're doing with Bryan though. I keep feeling like they are teasing a heel turn for him and that would be a bad move I think. I'm still marking out over him making Orton tap out. YES! YES! YES!
Punk, Ziggler, and Bryan, the time is now. One of these guys is eventually going to replace Cena. Time for those three to really step up and show WWE what they can do as top babyfaces.
I'm going to try and do something in two weeks that I haven't done in ages, go to a sports bar to watch Money in the Bank. I'm tired of paying the exhorbitant pay per view prices WWE charges, and it would do me some good to get out of the house and maybe meet some cool wrestling fans. I could use some new friends in my life right about now. I think Money in the Bank will be a good show too, so the crowd should be into it. I'm looking forward to it.

You would think he would realize it when he looks in the mirror, but someone needs to let Randy Orton know he has the beard of a 15 year old.
Decent article on a legend who could actually grow a beard,

Re: The Wrestling Thread
The build up to Money in the Bank has been pretty good.
I don't know if I should give credit to Orton or just the bookers, but he's doing some nice clean jobs of late. He made Punk look like a true champ this week and I still can't get over his tap out loss to Daniel Bryan. Good on you Orton. I think his promos are improving a bit too
Poor Christian, he's got like three straight losses going into this pay per view.
I like the Wyatt Family debut, very nicely done. I marked out a bit. I hear Kane's hurt though. Is that legit or a work?
I am a big Ziggler fan, but his babyface run so far feels a bit awkward.
Mark Henry is fucking awesome. Moving on...
What the fuck was up with Jericho/Rybak? I don't think they built up their PPV match at all last night. Instead we got a weird segment between Crybak and Vickie. They're making Rybak a bit of a goofy character. I don't mind personally. They can't go back to making him a badass so they have to try a new direction for him. He's becoming Ultimate Warrior-ish in how silly a character he's becoming.
Did Jericho actually win a match? That was as shocking as Miz beating Rybak last week
Loved the smart way The Shield won their match. Blind tag, switched opponents, spear, 3 count, awesome. These guys are money
Daniel Byran and Sheamus, what a fun match. Bryan continues to amaze me with the awesome stuff he pulls out and Sheamus is a guy who can still surprise me in the ring too. Nice opening to Raw. Why is Daniel Bryan not yet the face of the WWE? Oh right, that Cena guy. Anyway...
I was hyped for RVD, but god they got me even more amped up after they showed his win over Cena at One Night Stand. I'm glad they are remembering all this stuff and making sure to remind the fans as well.
Nice spear on AJ by Kaitlyn. Speaking of AJ, she's the cutest thing on WWE television. I don't care if she's a heel. Layla is looking pretty smoking hot too. She may be one of the older divas, but she's aging like fine wine.
On another note, I listened to the Place to Be Podcast since it was mentioned here. They were recapping Royal Rumble 2000 and it was fun going down memory lane and remember how awesome the WWF was back then. Kurt Angle(Daniel Bryan before there was a Daniel Bryan), The Hardys, The Dudleys, The McMahon/Helmsley Regime, Cactus Jack, DX, Jericho in his prime, good times, good times.
