Should I sell my Kinect?

Post by someone3760 »

I recieved a Kinect as a gift about a year ago and haven't used it. I didn't even open it. There is not really any space to use it in my house too. Do you guys think I should sell it to buy some other stuff I want to buy, or should I leave it sealed and wait to sell it in 10 years or so? Thanks.

I'd sell it now. When the Xbox One flops horribly (and it will), I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see the entire brand become a laughing stock, at least for a few years. At that point, you won't be able to sell it for anywhere near what you could get for it today simply because no one will want one, and I daresay you'd have to wait quite awhile for interest to perk up again.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

^This. Kinect doesn't have any good games, unless you are into dancing.

In my area it seems no one wants one I've been trying to sell mine for $30 for a month and haven't gotten a single e-mail. If you do decide to sell it, I hope you have more luck than me.

I imagine they would be hard to sell now. With the X1 announced, people know there will be no saving grace for the Kinect, no killer app to have made the purchase worthwhile.

If you cant sell it you might be able to do OK if you trade in during some promo at gamestop.

It's the same line of thinking as the Dreamcast 2. If they wish hard enough maybe one day it will happen.

Sell it, and stay away from the person who gave it to you he/she is not your friend.
