Retro Duo SNES & Super Everdrive

Post by Sano »

So I ordered this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NES-SNES-Retro- ... OC:US:3160

As well as the Super Everdrive flash cartridge. Anyone here have experience with the Everdrive? I plan to load it up with as many JRPG/RPG I can get my grubby little hands on.

I've got every Everdrive *but* the Super (I'm holding out for an SD2SNES personally)... Might be able to answer general Everdrive questions for you, what kinda questions did you have?
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread

Well, I guess I just want to know what kind of problems if any, that anyone has run into with the EverDrive. Such as compatibility issues. :?: :?:

Super Everdrive is an awesome bit of kit. Get yourself a DSP1 game and remove the DSP chip from it and install it on your everdrive to give you support for DSP1 games.
It has been really good to me. Doesn't support any of the special chipset games other than the DSP1.
You will find all RPG's will run fine on this. Also home brew games and hacks run perfectly.

I have some concerns about that clone SNES you have purchased. I recall on another forum that there are compatibility issues with clones and the SEverdrive.

Anyway suck it and see.

Not that easy unfortunately, you need to add a few extra components for it to work (a couple of logic chips and a crystal IIRC).
