Single issues add up quite a bit cost wise, and they're usually crammed full of ads anyway.
Not lately. TPBs have been going up in price (probably due to popularity because so many people have your mentality about it). The last few months I've been looking at the recent TPBs and thinking, "Are they serious with this price?"

And if their back-issues that are 6 months or older (and aren't Silver or Golden Age), you can usually get the singles for MUCH cheaper than ANY TPB.
It really depends, because new TPB's are about equivalent to what it would cost to get singles, and it is about 5 bucks cheaper everytime if you get paperback, and another 5 bucks cheaper if it isn't DC/Marvel. (Image TPB's can be high too.)

On backorder TPB's and singles, its hit or miss. I know SIN CITY is a ton cheaper in singles than any form of TPB, but picking up Hellboy is cheaper in trades.

Like I said, not recently. The recent releases of TPBs, which were normally $12.99-$19.99, are now coming out at $24.99-$35.99. I can't remember which ones they were specifically, but a few that just came out at my local comic shop, I had price-sticker shock. I couldn't believe it. I know one was $33.00, and the other was $29.99. And they were normal Marvel releases.

I happen to be going to pick up this week's new comics today, so I'll try to remember to look at which ones they were.

You guys could just stop reading Marvel. I can get Savage Sword of Conan TPBs for under $20.00 on Amazon.

Personally, I don't read Marvel besides Deadpool, so not an issue for me.

Why is it that budget games can be such a bitch to find? And less well liked games? I haven't found Vanquish or EDF 2077 yet locally.

His Spiderman TPBs probably cost him a bit more, however...

At least they're being honest... Unlike all the "100 hour" JRPGs of the PS1 era.

Speaking of comics....

I reccommend digital. Comixology is where I get mine. Saves you space and they run specials too! They also offer free comics (some are Marvel and DC).

Right now they are having a $.99 sale for "Before Watchmen" books.
