@ Bone - What model number on your Commodore printer?
Whoops! I was wrong - dug it out of the closet - it's actually an Okidata. Compatible with the Commodore 64, but not a "Commodore printer". I've never used it.

bmoc wrote:Nothing too spectacular to report but I did get Metroid Prime for $2 today at a thrift store. It is my first thift store find in about 3 years so I'll take what I can get. The thrift stores in my area are particularly terrible for games. I usually skip them altogether and stick to yard sales.
I feel you on that. I take anything I can get at my thrift stores. What area are you in? Cuz im in south florida and it sucks for hunting even though its densely populated.

Free Gamecube box from local store for being such a good customer, now to put a Gamecube in it.

Also got FF2 complete in box for 30 bucks, that cheap now a days.

I had a marathon of yard sales today. I hit about 20 yard sales today. I really need to learn up on PS2 because I can across half a dozen $5-15 dollar PS2 consoles of various revisions.

Came away with:
XBox CIB: $2-3
KotoR
Star Wars Battlefront 2
Morrowind

NES:
Super mario bros $2

PS2:
Namco Greatest hits $2

Not a great haul. I did great my hopes up briefly at a sale in my neighborhood. I inquired about any video games for sale and the lady replied "Well my son has a turbographic thing and about 100 games..." I immediately figured her son was a collector as well and wasn't surprised when she came back and said no games were for sale. Still, I now know there is a TGX16 collector in my neighborhood which is cool.

I can never beat the resellers to yard sales. I have to start waking up at 6 am or something.

How does that FFIII guide with Mog on the cover compare to the more "official" guide to the left. I've always been curious about that.
Going through both rather quickly, they both have between 160-165 pages but the unofficial one seems a lot thicker. The "Official Nintendo Player's Guide" is comprised of mainly screenshots and maps; just more of a no-frills, right to business type of guide. The other one is much more text-heavy and has larger maps (but they're bare with no keys or checkpoints shown). I can see why someone would want to use both. The official one is good to check out if you get stuck but the other one's better for someone who likes to read about the game world.
"Oh great, another box of useless sh*t."

Main Collection: http://connect.collectorz.com/users/ynj ... collection - Not looking to move anything on this list but would entertain offers.

Got a PS2 Fat console at Goodwill for $10 and some change. Ended up not reading discs (PS1 games work though). Oh well. At least they go for a good amount "as is" online.

Extreme north Georgia near North Carolina. Being very rural and mostly populated with Floridian retirees. I henceforth demand that you take them back!

I was going to try my hand at yard sales today (I've never gone to one for games). We had a lazy Saturday instead.

Oh well
