Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I just sold a boxed 7800 today untested with jacked up controllers today at a yard sale for $10, kind of waiting for pictures of it to end up here
would be pretty crazy if it did.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Didn't get a ton today but I got some great deals. Spent a total of $13
The House of the Dead III(No Manual)
Ninja Gaiden(No Manual)
2 Xtreme(In a Road Rash 3-D Case)
Alien Ressurrection(CIB)
Jumble Handheld by Tiger Electronics
Namco TV Games VGS(My favorite plug n play of all time already have one)
Atari Plug N Play by Jakks
Official NES Zapper Grey
Official Genesis 2 Power Adapter
Stuff heading for my freebie pile in my sale thread:
Tomb Raider III Adventures in India
Tetris Handheld by Radica (Love that it has the original music)

Didn't even notice that Jumble could take expansion paks till I was checking it out at home.

I love the Namco plug and play probably spent over 20 hours on the one I have. Love Pac-Man and Galaxian on it.

Have a ton of C64 stuff in boxes from my childhood! Half the floppies don't work anymore though.BoneSnapDeez wrote:None of y'alls have a Commodore 64 printer tho.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
So, I'm making my usual rounds at the thrift stores and all day I'm coming up totally dry- I mean NOTHING. I'm about to leave one of my favorite thrift stores and finish up my day of hunting with no more than a few controllers and game guides (they also had a console only SNES for $35 (WTF?!) when I look in the glass case and see this...
...at this point I feel a turtle head poking! Holy shit! I asked the lady at the counter if I could take a look at the games. She hands them to me and I see the sticker on the front of the boxes. $80 for Final Fantasy III and $60 for Secret of Mana. The turtle head scurried it's way back in. Fuck! Both games had manuals, FF III was in amazing condition and seemed to have all the inserts too (Secret of Mana box was a little beat up and had a tear on the front) but those are eBay prices. I was really tempted but there's just no way I'm paying that at a thrift store. They also had a copy of Wild Arms for PS1 for $10. I had to pass on all of them. Pretty disappointing day.
The game guides I got are: 2 for Final Fantasy III (official Nintendo and Peter Olafson), and Prima guides for Breath of Fire and Suikoden. I don't have any of those games but the guides were super cheap so if any of you guys want them, PM me and I'll give you a good deal.

Heh, I have that Tetris handheld. I got it from a LTD Commodities magazine my mom had years ago. It's not a bad version.

@J_Wil
How does that FFIII guide with Mog on the cover compare to the more "official" guide to the left. I've always been curious about that.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I was walking through the FYE in my mall today and saw what I consider some pretty sweet deals. This particular store is HUGE and I think it serves as a dumping ground of unsold merch for other FYEs in the region.
Today I found, new and shrinkwrapped, Real World Golf for Xbox with a weird motion-controller-thing for $2 and Beatmania for PS2 with it's controller for $10.
I already own a copy of Beatmania but I picked up an extra copy anyway in case I want to play in double mode. I'M PRETTY PLEASED WITH MYSELF.

Nice! You both brought back memories of the Tractor Feed and that Impact Printer sounds! Sadly all my Commodore related printers are buried deep in boxes in the washroom.Hobie-wan wrote:Well maybe not, but I've got a foam winged donkey. Ignore that other thing, just needed something to steady it on the bed.
MPS-801
1520 Plotter
Panasonic 24 Pin Impact
Okay the Panasonic only qualifies since it comes with a C64 adapter. Holy crap they are expensive now, must be a lot of nostalgia out there.

I used to have an Okidata, donated to Thrift Store ages ago. My Laser Disc Movie List printed back in the early 90s with that ancient dot matrix printer is still very readable.
@ Bone - What model number on your Commodore printer?

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Nothing too spectacular to report but I did get Metroid Prime for $2 today at a thrift store. It is my first thift store find in about 3 years so I'll take what I can get. The thrift stores in my area are particularly terrible for games. I usually skip them altogether and stick to yard sales.
