I once took a combo philosophy/film studies course that looked at writers like Nietzsche and Sartre and examined their influence on film noir. It was very interesting, but there was definitely a lot of reading involved (I'm talking 50 page reading assignments). I also took a Religion In Film course that involved philosophy and that was cool too. I need to get another course in for the fall semester and I want to fit in a fine art/humanity (there should be wine tasting or something), as I'm pretty much packed up on heavy content courses. Philosophy sounds a lot more intriguing and enriching than art, religion, theatre, pointless 101, etc. I'm guessing it will be heavy on writing and research though, which I am not really wanting to get into this semester.
