Yeah probably so. A bit different down here on the highways and major roads.
Obviously someone driving 50 in a neighborhood is being reckless etc...
Smile: I have around thirty or so boxed 2600 games from my youth that are still in great shape. I'm going to look for a few shadow boxes to place a few of them in and hang them on my gameroom staircase wall. That is if I can find the right size of shadow box. It might not be art deco, but I think it could look pretty nice, CASINO in particular.

Some Atari-era box art is totally worth hanging on a wall. I personally like the artwork of Space Invaders.
Smile: Buying that RX-8 but...
Anxious: Have to have my car sold and the money into the guy's hand by July 4th.
Gameface: I can get it done.
I mean. Just look at the color! (Big image in spoilertag)

I hope you have a good and reliable mechanic. Rotary engines aren't exactly common place, and can be very expensive to fix and maintain.
But yeah, that's a good looking ride. I'm assuming it has that rear suicide door and is also rear wheel drive.
Both correct assumptions.
I have a buddy with an 80s RX-7 who rebuilt his engine in an afternoon, so I have a good rotary mechanic on hand.
In his words, it's only expensive when you have to take it to somebody who doesn't know the engine and doesn't own one. Parts are cheap and they purr like kittens reliably as long as you know what you're doing. And on the plus side, when something goes wrong, it's pretty easy to catch before it goes really wrong. Not a whole lot of parts in these cars.

You Sir are in great shape then, and an owner of a very good looking ride.

That's one of the boxes I'm considering as I'm trying to use muted colors.
The RX8 was a tempting buy for my family a while back. Knowing its the last Rotary really makes the car special. I came to my senses and bought what my daughter really wanted, a 68 Mustang. She loves Retro consoles and vintage cars too, I'm a proud and maybe bad influence Dad.
Back on that beautiful swoopy body Mazda. That tiny motor with killer power to weight ratio set all the way to the firewall must really make for great handling on the road. The only downfall is the reputation of engine wear over a regular recip motor. Good that you have that mech, definitely follow thru with the specialized oil required for the oil changes.
@ Luke - Great idea on the 2600 boxes, more so considering you had them since you were a kid.
FINALLY got the car inspected and passed. Now on to register it and get Texas licence plates.
Don't know where the title is. I'm pretty sure it's at my moms house, but I just called her and she 'looked'. Her definition of 'looking' is scanning the area and saying 'nope, it's not here' so I get to do some digging when we go. If I don't find it, we have to get a duplicate copy and hop through more hoops to get it to us.
I'm really wanting this bad luck string to end. This should not be this hard for a car that isn't worth the money we have poured into it. If we had all the money we have spent on the car in a lump sum now, we could buy a new car that is less than 5 years old in full.

Thanks sir. Technically they are my Father's games (as is "my" 2600) but he wanted to pass them on. A few boxes still have the original cellophane on them. And thanks to him, I've kept my games and consoles in the best condition possible.
Games are like a nice suits. You take care of them, and they'll take care of you, for life.
Dang that car looks awesome. I almost got a 3000 GT myself when I needed a new car last year, but yeah decided it was a bit much for now and I already had to deal with expensive parts on my Acura, so I didn't want that either lol.
My little Civic is a mess but doesn't get much better on gas, heh.
