Try an easier game. Like The 7th Saga.
I'm sure one of us could loan a copy of Silver Surfer to him.

In honor of my new gaming system, I have beaten my first game for the system (on two difficulties). Since it's in one of this very own sites "defined" articles, I trust Dsh won't be too picky.

1. Ducktales (NES) Working on it-I suck at platformers -_-'
2. Soul Calibur (DC) I also suck at fighters, but a little practice goes a long way :)

This game is really pretty. I wasn't expecting it to look so nice or play so fluidly, so needless to say, it exceeded my expectations. I could keep playing this for hours, but after finishing it on two difficulties, I'm going to consider it a solid "beat" for me as I'm not particularly skilled at fighters. But this should be fun to play though again at harder difficulties :)

Wow, surprised at just how popular Chrono Trigger is for our Summer Challenges! Seems like almost every has it on their list (me included).

CFFJR wrote:Oh, the soundtrack is wonderful. Obviously I really like the ones brought over from Radical Dreamers, and I have several new favorites as well, particularly Shadow Forest, Viper Bluffs, Home World Termina, the overworld themes... Honestly, there hasn't been a single track I didn't love. Its really good.

Speaking of that, I'm in the Dead Sea now, and the music is haunting and sad and almost threatening all at once.
Yeah, I had to buy the sheet music for the game because of the soundtrack. Next to the combat, the art direction, and soundtrack are probably my favorite things about the game. Not many games set up a fictional setting as well as Chrono Cross, I feel. Then, of course, I've always loved the story.

Eh, I've kind of hit a wall. Prince of Persia frustrates me to no end, and I've reached a level I seem unable to beat in Yoshi's Island, about halfway through the game. And going back for 100 in each level is going to be a pain. Maybe I will switch to Pilotwings. NBA Jam I hesitate due to personal bias. Madden I'm genuinely nervous about because I know so little about football and wouldn't have a clue how to start in a video game about it.

Hail Mary, every down; especially on 4th.

Madden, Ack?! Why not something like Tecmo Super Bowl?

I'm no fan of the Madden series, but if I did have to pick up one Madden game it would be this:

Easy! Because there's like six of them on the SNES. I figure if I learned to play one, I could then work my way through the series.

Been lax on Prime 3 due to buying Animal Crossing, beating Loco Roco and replaying Final Fantasy V.

Finally got back to it tonight and assembled a bomb to destroy a shield on Elysia. Tomorrow I should blow the sheild up, kill the boss of the planet and move on to the Pirate Homeworld, which is apparently the last planet.

So, progress.

My plan for this month is to finish off Prime 3 before tuesday if possible, as I;m away til July after that. In July I plan to beat another 4 of my list if possible - Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Solid, Cybernator and Super Aleste. That'll leave the last 2 for August - the longest game (FFVII) and the most difficult (Blaster Master)
