And Ds, I've beaten 5/10. 5/10. What have you done this summer?
video game related?

-Written several book chapters about games
-Interviewed several game industry heavyweights
-hosted a few podcasts
-beaten about 15 retro and contemporary games
-planned a syllabus for a games related course
-traded or purchased several score games
-attended a pinball festival
-etc. etc.

I've also finished with two of my summer challenge games and started three others (two of which are RPGs)

shall I go on?
All of which is crap since you've been skimping on your Summer Challenge! Now go back and beat Medieval!

Classics
1. Ducktales (NES)
2. QuackShot (Gen)
3. Adventures of Batman and Robin (SNES)
4. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (PC) In Process 2.5hrs
5. Wonder Boy in Monster World (Gen)
6. Star Wars: KOTOR (XBOX) In Process 15hrs
7. Streets of Rage (Gen) Finished 6/16
8. Streets of Rage 2(Gen)
9. God of War (PS3 HD) In Process 4hrs

Not Classics that I want to beat before summer ends
10. Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions (PS3)

I have put most of my time into KOTOR this summer, so tonight I decided to grind out Streets of Rage. I beat it back in the day... I think. It was either this one (it seemed familiar) or SoR2.
Anyway, I lost the most lives on the 2nd set of twin Blaze clones. I beat the first set by using the police car bazooka special move. On the final level where you didn't have any special moves I struggled and lost more lives against them... more so than on the final boss. Either way, I am glad I sat down to play through the game and it was a great way to kill an hour and half.

Just wanted to pop in real quick and say that I am absolutely loving Chrono Cross.

I'm about 10 hours in and just about to enter Fort Dragonia, which is the biggest dungeon up to this point.

I'm not really looking forward to what will happen as soon as I complete it (some of you know, I'm sure) but I'm sure the game will remain absorbing and fun.

I really did a 180 on this, and I'm sorry it took me this long to give the game chance it deserved.

That's good to hear. I feel like I want to give the game a second chance myself. I rented back in the day, but it was by no means "Chrono Trigger". I quickly lost interest and returned it to the video store and never bothered to rent it again. In my mind it was just another crappy sequel to "cash-in" on the previous installments success.

Of course that was all speculation, as I never did give it a proper chance.

EDIT:
Also, no progress on my list. I just haven't had the time to play anything... I'm going to try to make some time this week. I may also move my Mario/Mega Man games to hand-held so I can play them at work instead.

I feel fairly confident that disc 2 will blow your mind, then. Also, you've made my day, now. How about that soundtrack, eh?

I'm glad that was good news for you! :D

Oh, the soundtrack is wonderful. Obviously I really like the ones brought over from Radical Dreamers, and I have several new favorites as well, particularly Shadow Forest, Viper Bluffs, Home World Termina, the overworld themes... Honestly, there hasn't been a single track I didn't love. Its really good.

Speaking of that, I'm in the Dead Sea now, and the music is haunting and sad and almost threatening all at once.

Try an easier game. Like The 7th Saga.
