Wii Fit Trainer (!) added as a character. Pretty out-there choice, but so was Mr. Game & Watch and ROB.
yeah people are up in arms about that...I mean...Brawl did have nintendogs clog the screen.

the Wii Fit Trainer seems whacky..her final smash is she bombards you with explosive yoga poses. People get too uptight about stuff sometimes.
Honestly, I think it's hilarious.

Anyone upset about her needs to lighten up.

Originally I was considering getting this to play as Mega Man, but now...Wii Fit Trainer. Just so I can grin like a troll every time I select her.

Thats actually pretty awesome.

Sadly, like the other three games in the series, it will eventually become 5 stock, 8 minutes, no items, and Final Destination only. When Id rather play all items, with any stage but the moving ones.

Yeah, after the DKC and Cat Mario presentations (in addition to the villager being added to the SSBU roster and my discovery that Super Luigi U is getting a standalone $30 release) I'm set on getting a wii u. Probably going to get one post birthday money in july.

Never owned a wii, so I'm going to seize the opportunity to play Warioland: Shake It! and Mario galaxy (+2), FINALLY

Whilst yeah, most of that is probably right, I don't really get the final destination thing. Smash tournaments use a counter pick rule were quite a few stages are available to choose.

Gamerforlife wrote:Is DKCR 2 by Retro Studios again? Can't say that I'm happy if that's the case. Those guys don't "get it". DKC Returns completely lost the spirit of the SNES games. The stupid motion controls, the sadistic difficulty, the lack of animals, generic enemies, none of the awesome swimming levels, collectibles being more about doing annoying platforming exercises to get them than actually finding them, Diddy being reduced to nothing more than a way for the player to take another hit, DKC Returns was NOT a Donkey Kong Country game.
DKCR2 seems like its an improvement on all fronts so far. Just watched the trailer for it. The swimming levels appear to be back (yes!) and the new enemies simply look like they have way more personality than the Tiki enemies did. Plus it seems like Diddy is now his own separate character again, along with Dixie and a fourth playable character which hasn't been revealed yet? Plus I doubt the game is going to use the Wiimote--so no motion controls this time around most likely.

But the most amazing part is that David Wise is coming back to compose the soundtrack. Blows my mind.

I preordered a PS4 first thing this morning. Not interested in the Xbox One. I was happy with some of the things Nintendo said. I usually buy Nintendo systems for the 1st party games sorry / not sorry.

Well, I think Super Smash Bros looks really good. It's always felt to me like a series that would work better on a handheld, so I'm happy it was confirmed for 3DS. Also I really like the 3DS versions new art style, much better than the sorta photo-realistic stuff that Brawl and the WiiU version use. Plus hey, Mega Man. He looks awesome. I've been getting interested in the Mega Man games recently, so that's a nice surprise.

Really disappointed at no new Metroid news though.

But really, the whole past two days could be summed up in one sentence: Sony does what Microsoft don't.

So far I'd summarize E3 as such:

MS: Some good games announced and shown off, but the price point and terrible policies of the Xbox One overshadow everything. MS needs to make some changes or they're going to have a hard time next gen.

Sony: Good games, and the system is like a shadow world version of the Xbox One. Plus, it's a little more powerful and $100 cheaper. I have no trouble deciding that PS4 will be my next gen system of choice.

Nintendo: They played things extremely safe, so their announcements were rather boring. Mainly sequels and games we already knew about showed off. When Mega Man being in Smash Bros is the highlight of your show, something's wrong. This was not the event the Wii U needed.

Overall a good show, mainly because of Sony's strong showing.
