Re: E3 2013 Thread
What I took away from the Sony conference was that the game I want the most is made by Bungie and might be on the PC and PS3. And if it is on PC I will buy it there before console. I am still staunchly in the WiiU and PC camp right now, but a PS3 is looking to be in my future, since a PS4 will be down the road.

I am with you. I feel like the PS4 may be a purchase later in its lifecycle. It is going to do just fine sales wise and there will be good exclusives on it. Any I NEED? No. I will wait on it, but it definitely has potential. I'm sticking to my PC and WiiU for now, but their showing was really good.fastbilly1 wrote:What I took away from the Sony conference was that the game I want the most is made by Bungie and might be on the PC and PS3. Not too happy about paying for online play. Free online is why I primarily play CoD and other games on a PS3. So long as they keep giving away quality games and discounts with PS plus I guess I could see the value in a subscription though.
We'll have to wait and see I guess.

Re: E3 2013 Thread
Being loyal to Sony since the original Playstation, I was buying a PS4 regardless. I can't tell you how happy this makes me to hear about all the "anti-Xbox One" features it's going to have. LOVE IT.
However I can't say I'm too pleased about having to pay for PS+ to play online multiplayer, but if that's the only thing I have to worry about I'll take it. I mean, it's better than M$ online requirement where you'd have to pay to be online anyways.
The only question for me is: Will the PS4 be a day one purchase? Hmmmm

I just love this
Also i love these gifs

I don't play online so the PS+ requirement is not much concern to me, but yeah not everything is good news.
Now waiting for nintendo direct.
Are your bodies ready?

Less than an hour away and Nintendo will announce that price drop and hardware revision.
Re: E3 2013 Thread
PS+ is, to me, a given. Rolling multiplayer onto it doesn't really affect me, since I don't really do that on consoles, but I've been sold on it for the free game, automatic updates, and so on already.graffix_13 wrote: However I can't say I'm too pleased about having to pay for PS+ to play online multiplayer, but if that's the only thing I have to worry about I'll take it. MS does seem to be trying to make Gold more on par with it though.

Re: E3 2013 Thread
I haven't read/watched EVERYthing yet, but my conclusion I drew is that these systems are really about the same if you ask me. MS seems to like the cloud-based gaming, that's the only difference if you're staring at specs and capabilities. I do give the edge to Sony though:
-$100 less is $100 less. That almost covers your extra controller and games (or 2 games if you're like me) for the price of the Xbox One. Plus, put simply, $100 is a lot for someone on a budget. I mean come on we all know this consoles are going to have 95% the same library and some of the exclusives will suck anyways.
-I DON'T want a Kinect, let alone it making the price go up (not that that wasn't expected). This is my main sticking point. It might sound illogical but even a $449 Xbox One with Kinect optional would make me feel so much better. I just don't want to be forced to buy anything.
-PSN+ has legit free games, often big budget titles that are only maybe 6 months old. MS is offering 5 year old games and I have no faith this won't just fall by the way side after they have everyone's money. I think they'll still give out free games, but it'll be of the Halo 3 variety they mentioned.
-I actually think the Xbox One has a lot of innovations, but as per usual with the Xbox brand, will we actually care? I'm leaning towards no.
Unrelated note: The trailer for Metal Gear was amazing.

Will PS+ still have free offers though? Not sure if they elaborated on that.
I also wonder with some games going on both PS3/PS4, are they going to be cross platform online? That'd be pretty cool.
