Watchtower is really cool, especially when you consider when they came out. I guess I have even more stuff to check out now.pepharytheworm wrote: You might also like Wolf Spider, Toxik, Target, Paralysis, Immaculate, Donor, and Watchtower. All are technical trash bands with higher pitched singing.

And I think someone posted the cover art in the "Worst Album Covers" thread over in MA. I have to disagree; that picture is awesome!

Re: Metal Heads Assemble!!
Album art doesn't get much worse than Artillery - Terror Squad I think:

(It's a really good album though)
There's a story behind that art:
The label wanted to know what Artillery wanted for the artwork on their next album, so the band put together a crude sketch and sent that into the label as a concept, with the understanding that the label would pass that along to whatever artist would be hired to render the final image. Several months later, the album gets pressed, and the band gets their copies only to find that the label had just went and used their crude sketch instead of getting actual artwork whipped up. Oops!

Re: Metal Heads Assemble!!
So in preparation for Havok's upcoming album, I picked up their first major album, Burn, and have been listening to it and Time is Up back to back. I love Havok. They're like a love letter to thrash.

in keeping with the thrash theme, here's another classic rager that i just unearthed:

not to be confused with the bro-metal band of the 2000's, this band only released a couple of demos and this EP. i ended up with a cassette copy of the EP in a lot of tapes i bought off ebay recently. excellent stuff.

Re: Metal Heads Assemble!!
Sadly, I own none of their EPs. Finding those around here is a pain in the ass, so I'll have to resort to the Internet for it. There's folks selling it on Amazon at least. Pwn them all however...they're going for over $60. And I doubt I will ever find Thrash Can!aaron wrote:do you have Point of No Return? definitely worth your time as well.Ack wrote:So in preparation for Havok's upcoming album, I picked up their first major album, Burn, and have been listening to it and Time is Up back to back.
