I usually go with PS2. I love the controller, and it's "good enough."

The PS2 is my favorite console of that generation due to its insanely large library and backwards compatibility. However I would have to agree that the Xbox had the best versions of multi-plat games 75-80% of the time.

Also to note is that due to the Gamecube's small discs, and as a result smaller storage size, games either had to move to 2 discs or lose features entirely. This is an issue with some of the Tom Clancy games I've been playing through, as well as other FPS titles on the console. I have Second Sight for the GC but have not got to play it yet.

The PS2 probably has about 1,000 more games.
I liked all three, but in retrospect the PS2 at this point completely blows them out of the water for me and has nearly all the good ports plus so much more. I've got over double the amount of PS2 games I do for the Xbox/GC combined, have also had those two boxed up for awhile now but always keep the PS2 out.

A late-gen game such as Black demonstrates the differences in quality. But it's not much to lose sleep over.
Or maybe consider playing the games on a PS3 instead.

I think the more important factor here is that the Xbox versions usually had a much better frame-rate than the PS2. So even though the graphics may be close, there was usually a big difference in how fluid the animation/gameplay was between the two, especially in fps and sports games.
