What's wrong with puzzle games?

I see often that some people will instantly diss casual puzzle games which I don't understand. I realize that the casual game market is surprisingly one of the most crooked sects of the game industry but a lot of the games are good I mean what's wrong with a bubble popping puzzle game as long as it's not taking advantage of players(you have to buy this thing to win etc.). I actually like simple puzzlers.

I enjoy puzzle games personally. I have one on Steam called Puzzle Quest. Its a bejeweled influenced RPG. I recommend checking it out, especially if you like RPGs and/or Bejeweled style games

There's absolutely nothing wrong with puzzle games at all. With the rise of mobile devices and more indie developers than ever before, you'd be hard pressed to find one that ISN'T a puzzle game nowadays.

Puzzle Quest was *great*. How they managed to weave such an amazing RPG story & experience with a drop-style puzzle game is amazing.

I love puzzle games. My gripe is with the monetization of puzzle games. Even though it doesn't affect me in any way, I find it so strange to allow people to pay money to get power ups and playtime in puzzle games through social media and on phones.

That is why I stick to a lot of my more substantial puzzle games like Puzzle Quest and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Tetris Attack etc.
