Now, for what I'd LOVE to see (but I won't hold my breath):

-HD remake of Final Fantasy VII (with trophies)

-HD remakes of the Legacy of Kain series (with trophies)

-New God of War game that is NOT a prequel. I would even be ok with a new setting/protaganist

-Borderlands 3 announced

-RetroN 5 release date (although I think this will happen anyways)
I wouldn't count on anything Mega Man related for something 'big'. My personal hope is Monster Hunter 4 (US release this year) or bringing back Mega Man Legends 3. but I doubt either would be 'big' enough. :P

Man, I hope so.

It'll probably be Resident Evil 7. =/

I'm hoping for:

A new 2D Metroid, preferably on 3DS.
A new 2D classic Castlevania.
Final Fantasy XV
Fallout 4
Devil May Cry 5 (Not another shitty DmC)
Last Guardian release date.
Final Fantasy VI remake.
New game from ThatGameCompany (Dev's of Flower and Journey)
PS4 details.

SEGA put out a "Highly Anticipated Titles" list over the weekend. It's a (rather short) list of games they will be showcasing at E3, and the comments are pure gold. Almost every comment is a complaint.

-Where is PSO2?
-Where is Shenmue III?
-Where is Yakuza 5?
-Why Wii-U Exclusives?
-Where is Dreamcast 2 (derp)

SEGA has finally gotten on the right track and started making major progress over the last couple years. Releasing new games based on old franchises that improve mechanics and think outside of the box, and re-releasing games with new visuals, new content, but leaving the original gameplay intact. The worst thing they can do right now is fall off this trust wagon after fighting so hard to get back on.

That said, I'm not as doom and gloom about SEGA this year. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing some more from Sonic Lost Word, several of their games are actually making consider purchasing a Wii-U, and I'm super excited that they listened to their fans and decided to bring over Project Diva F to the West (which seems like a huge gamble).

Nintendo:
Really hope they focus more on the games this year. I enjoy watching some of their gimmick demonstrations because it can quickly turn into laughter, however, I want to hear more about their returning IPs. I'm hoping for some surprises, like when they announced The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess back in 2004.
Currently on a Pokemon kick, so I'm REALLY excited to see more from Pokemon X & Y.

Sony:

Games... I just want to see more games. I have very little interest in this year's "console wars". I may not even purchase the systems right away, if I bother buying them at all. More gameplay, less trailers, less hardware. Games...

Microsoft:
Didn't care before the announcement, and I care even less now.
Honestly, I hope they shoot themselves in the foot with these policies and refuse to change them. At least I can get some entertainment in watching an empire burn. I'm expecting to see more sports, and more FPS games. Yay...

An omega onslaught of dozens and dozens of trailers of nothing but pre rendered CGI cutscenes and no gameplay whatsoever.

THAT'S WHAT I LOVE

Right now I'm obviously interested in what Sony has to offer, but pretty stoked for what crazy Kojima is gonna pull with MGS5 stuff.

E3 has become a freaking joke over the last few years, so I hope this one is meaningful.

Pretty much this. I have become convinced that Microsoft has done far more harm than good to the game industry, and I'd love to show them the door, and trip them on the way out.

I too hope for Alex Kidd in Altered Beast World.

I predict:
/v/ will be extremely dissatisfied no matter what is announced.
SEGA will hold out on anything noteworthy besides Lost Worlds.
Nintendo will not attend E3.
Microsoft will crash into the face of the sun.
Sony will distance itself from Microsoft while employing similar strategies as Microsoft for the PS4.

I'm buying a 3DS.

Is it maybe a sign that we're not that excited for E3 this year that this thread is three days old and only four pages long? E3 is right around the corner, I'd expect this thread to be much more active right now.

I guess MS crapping the bed and Nintendo holding E3 "at BestBuy" makes a big difference. Heck, I myself am only really going to pay attention to E3 for the Playstation stuff.

AMEN on the PS stuff. It may be all we have left. Unless they shit on us also. I just wish they would announce price points finally.
