I actually picked up SMB3 again tonight due to being inspired by Ack's latest update.

I never beat the 8th world, and picking it up tonight, I got a lot further than I ever did before.

This game is going down.

How do you like Phantasy Star?
It's great. Im about 2/3 way through. I took a break to finish Golden Sun DD. I'm not big into juggling 2 RPGs. PSIV has amazing visuals, sweet battle animations, great music/SFX, & I dig the PS games setting in general. Looking forward to coming back to it to finish!

Chrono Trigger is far from a hard RPG. It is just an excellent game with an excellent story.

Most people I talk to do that same party, heck my first few times beating it I did the same. But on my last go I decided to use some of the girls and Ayla's max level ability is just fun.

You can boost Robo's speed with speed tabs, and if you do the castle in the future first, then back each epoch, you can steal a bunch of them off some of the optional enemies.

AS for me, I finished Sutte Hakkun last night. I completed 86 of the 100 maps and cant for the life of me finish the others. The game was excellent and a solidly unique puzzle game. Almost all of the stages I could not finish were because I did not have the reflexes to complete them. Anyone looking for a fun puzzle platformer, look no further. It is quirky, silly, and has good music.

List:
1. Iron Brigade - PC
2. Adventures of Lolo - NES
3. Zelda 1 Master Quest - NES
4. Stacking - PC
5. Blaster Master - NES
6. Mother 3 - GBA
7. Prince of Persia Sands of Time - PC
8. The Cave - PC
9. Sutte Hakkun - SNES
10. Wonderboy in Monster World - Gen/MD[/quote]
Now to figure out where to go to next.

Read JPN? Is there a good translation guide out there?
I read Japanese, but I think there was a thread around recently where someone was using a guide to play through the game. Might have just been the PS1 guide that he used, though. I think there was mention of him not really being able to figure out some of the side quests because of it.
I played through the SS version of the game with a guide and only a couple of years of high school Japanese under my belt. This was well before the PS1 version was even an option. By using the guide to get the story elements and some rudimentary reading comprehension to handle menu navigation, the overall experience was very enjoyable.

Are you continuing, starting from the first quest, or using LINK as your name?

Yeah, I will likely use Ayla once she becomes a permanent member. I love her offensive capability, she starts fast, and she has some healing on top of it. But we'll see how it goes. I figure Chrono and Frog will stay though, as they're such great melee powerhouses.

Using Zelda as my name. I have beaten the first game enough times to justify it.

Ayla's max level ability is 9999 on each critical hit. And with the right equipment, each fourth hit can be a critical. So even if the enemy normally takes 1 damage from physical attacks, she hits for 9999. She is also the thief and can take as much damage as Robo. Sadly you lose their triple tech though.

Wonder why I thought "Link" as the name forwarded you to the master quest.

Well obviously my Zelda memory is a little blurred, but if I do recall correctly, the master quest is more fun than the first go-around.

My past attempts have gotten me to searching for the seventh dungeon all over the map and not being able to find it.

That's part of the fun.

And may we never forget "North, West, South, West".
