It's a stand-alone title, not a sequel. Even if the main character looks awfully similar

I love Doug TenNapel's stuff. We have all the episodes of Earthworm Jim on our media center. I may end up backing this. Seems really cool.

I heard a lot of praise for Neverhood i hope its as good as they say, i wonder if it has even been ported or if it is available on GOG or stream.

Any way, there seems to be only 3 people working on this kickstarter project? I am amazed how somtimes you see a small number of people working on a great game that looks Triple A then there are other games that has 1562 people names on the credits and you just cant help wonder what kind of work takes 1000+ people to work 2 years to produce. I mean if they worked 10 hours a day , thats 10 THOUSAND hours spent on the project ... and thats just in 1 day!

I wonder whatever happened to the original art assets of The Neverhood. It could certainly benefit from a hi-res remaster.

Ugh, with 3 days left and $260,000 to go I'm really starting to lose hope for the project.

Nintendo expressed interest in a Wii U version, perhaps they are willing to dump some money into it in extremis?

I can not tell you how depressed that makes me. I put in my $90 to support this project for one reason and one reason only. The Neverhood's wall of History. What bored the crap out of most people intrigued the hell out of me and made my experience with that game a million times better. I can not express the sheer, unadulterated admiration I have of their work. Skull Monkeys and Neverhood were brilliant and entertaining visually and auditory.

I pray big bucks comes its way in the next few days.

That would be smart , having a unique exclusive games will sure at least build a loyal user base for the Wii U. I know most of the Dreamcast library has been ported , but the user base still loyal to that system which died like 11 years ago. I for one would like to see different game type library than just another grey FPS.

If this game costs only $1m to make , Nintendo can easily cover its price with $5 for each copy if they sell 200k units, which is a low number compared to the CURRENT Wii U user base of 3m , and they can also release it for the Wii that has 99m user base (which I think over 70% of them forgot they even own that system), if they are worried the Wii U sales will not be enough to cover the investment price.
