Boom, The 7th Saga is done! Next up, I'll be playing through Chrono Trigger sometime this summer.

I've played it, but have never actually taken the time to beat it. Partly this is because I like to complete games (which will take...what, 7 playthroughs of varying lengths to see all endings?), and partly because I had only ever borrowed a copy until a couple of years ago, and since then I've got so many games to play...

Maybe I should give you guys a list of all the NTSC-U SNES RPGs I haven't beaten. Some of the results may surprise you.

Haha, yeah, the Fire Emblem discussions on here make my head spin. But I promise I will try to make my jaunt through Chrono Trigger as interesting as my 7th Saga experience, and after the summer challenge ends or I tire of it, I will probably move on to some really entertaining material: Lagoon, Secret of Evermore, Drakkhen, Eye of the Beholder, Robotrek, etc.

Technically 13 on the SNES version, but in reality 2 or 3 is all you'll need. You'll just want to back up your save before every opportunity to go for the ending.

Ok, so more than I was expecting, though I figured that was how things would go. Beat it twice, and on the third playthrough go for everything I could.

Yeah, each ending is triggered by fighting the final boss at a specific point in a New Game+, so you can have a single New Game+ file where you get each alternate ending in one run (albeit with lots of hitting restart once you hit each ending). Depending on how much grinding you do in your first playthrough (you can potentially do a big grind fest near the end game) you could conceivably do it on your first new game+.

Taking my GBA with me on a bus trip to New York City tomorrow, so I might make some progress in Breath of Fire.

Yeah Ack sold me on 7th Saga, haha. It was hilarious and interesting following your thoughts on that one.

Glad to hear you guys are now interested in the game! My time with The 7th Saga had ups and downs, but I enjoyed it overall and think more folks should play it.

Anyway, moving on to my next target:
