To celebrate the upcoming Flying Wild Hog (Hard Reset Dev) remake, the original PC game is being released on Steam for the princely sum of $0.00.

I meant to post this yesterday but kept getting sidetracked. I have it downloaded, sadly multiplayer and coop have not been enabled yet - coming soon.

And sheeple will like something just for a freebie whether they like it or not. So it is a useless barometer or popularity. People saying that something is awesome in infomercials just because they were given a free one or were paid. Telling a stranger "fine thanks" when asked if they're having a nice day even if they aren't. Etc.

Option was greyed out on my copy last night. They said they were enabling it via a patch.

Yes and no. While Shadow Warrior definitely stacks on the racial stereotypes of just about every East Asian people possible, it does it with such an over-the-top fashion that I see it almost entirely as a parody. It's like Duke Nukem 3D, which comes off as a satire of the glorified uber-action star (something that was sorely missed in DNF). I can't help but play Shadow Warrior while thinking the entire time that this is just a more extreme form of how some people actually view East Asian cultures.

That said, I look forward to seeing how the next one is handled.
